Avril lavigne is a disgrace to the brand converse and all the other stuff she wears. She is the biggest poseur ever. How can she even compare herself to great artists that actuall MAKE THEIR OWN MUSIC like Sum 41. Only the preppiest of people actually think she is punk. Her poseur attempts are so lame. Ever wonder why her merchandise isn't sold at hot topic? Its cuz she's a preppy poseur. She is just like britney spears except poseur. If you truly believe she is a punk then you are a prep.

It's total ******** that you're comparing Avril UNFAVORABLY to Sum 41. And to say that she's a disgrace to Chuck Taylors is the biggest CROCK I've ever heard. Since when, may I ask, are GOTHS the only ones who wear them? They're SHOES, for christ sake. Anyone can wear shoes. Chuck taylors come in so many different colors. Some preps wear the pink ones, or the orange ones. Some goths wear the black ones. Some potheads wear blue or green ones. People can wear WHATEVER kind of shoes and clothes they want. Good Charlotte are posers. They dress goth and sing punkpop. That's ********. Lavigne dresses punk and sings pop-rock. Her music isn't punk. The only punk song she's got is Sk8er Boi, which she didn't even write, so don't say that she's punk. She's a pop-rock artist who dresses how she wants to dress, and people should respect that. I've been through the prep phase (private school), the goth phase (catholic school), the punker phase (private school again), the pothead phase (catholic school again), and now the place where I'm happy with how I look and what I wear and what music I listen to. I like Avril. I like Metallica. I like the Goo Goo Dolls. I like Black Sabbath. I like Britney Spears, for christ sake. I'm not going to stop liking something just cause other people like it. That's just as mainstream as starting to like something cause other people do. Your perception of poser is actually quite skewed, so I suggest you talk to more people before putting your close-minded, one-way-street attitude into society.

Right about what? Avril's new songs are still pop....it's just an extension of Let Go except with less catchy pop songs (she shouldn't have dumped the Matrix songwriters). Why not just admit she is a pop singer and quit fighting about the punk/rock image thing? It's about the music...and it is just pop.
