SARS scare.... just a scare?

I dunno about the rest of you guys but im really not worried about catching sars and i think the media has gone too far in trying to promote "SARS awareness."

IMO this sars scare really isnt that serious. more people have died from allergies or the common flu. This is definetly not a new epidemic like HIV/AIDS and I wish the american media would choose something else to broadcast with their time.

well imo its not that bad... more people die from chicken pox every year than sars. i dunno why people are freaking out and wearing masks like masks really help....

I haven't run the numbers recently, but at one point - SARS was spreading fast enough to infect 7 million people in the first year - killing 250,000+ of them.

They seemed to have gotten it under control a bit.

At that time, the death rate was about 4%. I notice now by looking at the stats that it has risen to 9% so far.
