Is it me or does driving around an oval track for hours just seem a bit tedious? Couldnt NASCAR do with being a bit more exciting? Well, whatever your views on how much greater Formula one is than NASCAR, then post them here.
F1 kicks ass...and i guess NASCAR doesn't.

Indeed i have. I'd rather gargle a bucket of diorreah than watch NASCAR. Its an unimaginative, slow, repetitive sport.
People who like NASCAR should be caned.

Shift _ Expectations

Well Formula 1 just puts me to sleep. All you ever get to see is one or two cars going by at a time.

My first NASCAR race was in 1977 at Riverside Raceway a road course. I sat in turn 6 and was able to see the majority of the race. From that point on I was hooked.

I won't go back an forth on this because I know that you love F1 and I love NASCAR and neither of us will turn the other.

So enjoy your F1 and I'll enjoy my NASCAR.

What other race can you see this many cars in this little space going over 190 mph/305 kph.

It's not all about being able to cane it around a circle y'know.
I's about skill and controll and being able to push your car to the limit and them some.
Times are measued down to the Thousandths of a seccond. Where hitting the throtte on the exit of a corner half a seccond too late could cost you pole position at Monacco.
It's where the car requires a little more than just pure Torque and top speep to make it past the line first.
It's where inclines, declines, tunnels, camber, hair pins, S-bends, hammer heads, top ends, apex's and 4 seccond pit stops can all effect the podium finishers at the end of 1 1/2 hours.
It's where it takes three laptops just to start the engine.
It's where divers can be subjected to more than a 30G crash at 180 MPH and still race the next day, no questions asked.
It's where it takes more than neck-at-neck racing to make it to the podium.
It's where the cars generate 800 Horse power at over 18,000 Rev's per minute from either a V10 or W12 engine.
It's where driver require more than just a pulse to complete a lap.
It's where it takes 3 secconds to get to 100 MPH rater than a lifetime.
It's where the cars make more than a justa dreary drone from those Small lump V8 engines, as they 'fly' [ha!] past.

It's still just one car in that corner. If it was NASCAR there'd be at least 3 in that corner and more nose to tail. Now that's excitement.

What corner? There are no corners in NASCAR. The track is just one big ring. Gee. i could piss a better track.
