Just a piece of light relief.

The great European tradition, the Eurovision song contest has been held over the weekend. Now any non euros out there should know that this is largely down to a popularity contest. Politics play a major role in the voting, and for the first time in history, Britain has been given Nul Points by the European judges. It would be amusing to see where the USA would be if it were to have entered. .

Me thinks this is also going to be the opinion of the British Judges that are the general electorate in the next election. The Europeans may have voted "puppet on a string" number 1 in 1967, but come 2005, the new "puppet on a string" will, I believe, be given a decisive Nul Points.

Hi you make a good point but I dont think the nil points was 100% political I think that the song was damn awful and to make matters worse it was sung out of key. But you do bring about the point tha Britain may have alienated herself from her european neighbours and we need them as allies just as much if not more so than america
