History 102

Due to lack of knowledge, we understand those labeled "Latino" or "Hispanic" are from Mexico, Central and South Amercica or the Caribbean. What happen to Africa?

Its a historical fact ,Latinoes are the children of AFRICA. LATINOES AND BLACKS ARE HISTORICALLY CONNECTED. We are apart of the same African family.

The language (Spanish), names ( Martinez,Lopez, etc.) and relgion (Cristanity ,Roman Catholism) come from SPANISH CONQUERORS.

Of all of Mexico's history, the 19 Olmec heads( link provides picture) discovered in Veracruz, Mexico is considered the most profound.

The Olmec heads are megalithic facial sculptures with AFRICAN features, weiging up to 20 tons.

According to an article (Ancient City Found in Mexico") by Stephen Lovgren in th National Geographic (Jan 26, 2007), he states :

" ... the Olmec are generally regarded as the 1st advanced civilization in Mesoamerica, the region stretching from central Mexico to eastern Honduras" The Olmec are often called the mother culture of mesoamerica.

During this time of tension(1 in 9 Blacks in prison (Pew Report) it is critical Latinoes and Blacks OUR ancestral connection. What would our communities look like if WE Latinoes,Blacks and Native Americans knew our our historical connection?

Latinos are also of Native American ancestry.

So technically they are "from" Mexico and Central America in a way that whites and blacks are not.

Mexico , Central and South America have a large population of ( dark complexion) Blacks (Us). Hollywood and Spanish channels have fooled you into believing Jennifer Lopez is what Latinoes look like.

The article says "Latinoes" are the children of Indigenous and African ancestry. Most people ( includindg Latinoes) do not know this?

Did you know Latinoes are descendants of Africa?

You (may) know, but the Majority of people ( including Latinoes) ddon't know this (historical) fact.

The purpose of the article was to school those unaware of this hidden part of Black history. Your responce confirms the status quo.

Didn't you say you were Black?

It will have same effect when (a growing # of) Scots looked at their history and saw they were being exploited, which causing Scotland to unify and demand independence from Britain?

answer your question?

Not really Firtsly every Scot knows the countries history because Scotland and England are seperate countries anyway what we want is total political independence and national independence i.e being Scottish not British, now I admit that would have a massive impact not just on the social culture but also on the monarchy, the standing of the houses of parliment in Europe and beyond.
I can't see that happening with black Americans and Latino Americans who like white Americans are all American. The Indpendence idea would be no more than a race war not a war of independence and would fly in the face of the equality that many good people have fought and died for if anything it would destroy any inroads that have been made and create more divides.

Now maybe I have misunderstood what you have wrote and you are talking about blacks and latinos rising up for equality in that case fine bigger number = louder voice but if that kind of drive was succesful in the longer term there would be issues because despite histroy there will be present day issues where balcks and latinoes see differently. Plus from what i have read on this issue ( not a lot admittiedly) Latinoes don't seem to have the excat same point of view as people like yourself malcolm.

Let me clarify. The article purpose wants to remind "Latinoes" of their historical connection to Africa.

I used Scotland example to show people who share same history unify against exploitation.
