Should Hopkins apologise

"Beranrd Hopkins should be ashamed of himslef and apolgise to Calzaghe" - Jose Sulaiman president of the World Boxing association.

That was the reaction for the WBO after examing the racist comments made by the 43 year old Hopkins during the press confrence for the upcoming world title match with the Welshman Calzaghe when Hopkins said " I ain't never gonna lose to a white boy" Hopkins has denied the comment was racially motivated and was only trying to use pre match physcology but as I sated the governing bodies have seen the comment as more than that.

In my opinion this was racist the best way to examine if somethin was racist is to flick the scenario. If Calzaghe had come out and said "I ain't gonna lose to no black boy" then the s**t would really hit the fan, so then you have to say that Hopkins was a racist in this instance and in that case he should apologise to Calzaghe and to the fans of boxing.

BTW I think Hopkins will be dissapointed because that white boy is going leather him.

Why should I care if Hopkins appoligises or not? Calzaghe is just going to kick his arse anyway.

Sure it was a rasict comment but in the end Calzaghe hasn't really said anything about it, other than saying he doesn't care and that Hopkins has just made himself look stupid, and he will probably wait to take out whatever frustrations he has on Hopkins in the ring.

Calzaghe said in an interview that it isn't about race its about boxing and that is what they should focus on. He said “It’s not Britain versus America, or politics, or black against white. It’s a boxing match and it’s me against a guy called Bernard Hopkins, who’s got a big mouth and thinks he’s better than he is."
