The movie is set after the (so called) fall of apartheid when South Africa was hosting the Soccer World Cup. Mandela was in 1st term as South African president.

Clint Eastwood is pick to direct ?

This film is a joke and it wil distort history for children. Hollywood is trying to romantacize history where there was revolution to keep children from knowing.

Well it's nothing new Hollywood has been pulling this for years look at Braveheart, Enigma, Ned Kelly to name but a few but it's up to the eduucation system to set this straight in the UK all schoolchildren are taught about the Enigma machine and about William Wallace and I bet that all Ozzie kids know the real story about Ned Kelly. Nelson Mandela though, man he is famous and so well resepected and loved round the world that practically everyone knows the story of his life before, during and after prison.

BTW I think you mean rugby world cup South Africa has never hosted the football world cup 2010 will be it's first time

Nothing we can really do about it, in fact I can't think of a film that is 100% accurate, they are maming a film about Burke and Hare in Edinburgh and apparently that is full of mistakes. What might work is to get a representative of Mandela or Mandela himself to have an input on the film after all it's about him and he is still alive surely the film company will let him have an input rather than avoid the bad press and possible law suit for defamation of charachter.
