Eye on America

Rev. Al Sharpton is calling the Megan Williams torture case in West Virginia a " national disgrace" that was "barbaric and racist" and criticize those who have turned there back on this case .

Sharpton was speaking specifically about Charleston Mayor Danny Jones, who unsuccessfully tried to stop the Nov.3 rally in support of Megan.

Logan County prosecuter Brian Abram has resisted calling tortue incident a hate crime , because of a prior " social relationship" with one of the suspects may negate the charge.

Texas Congresswomen Sheila Jackson Lee disagrees " Whether or not these were known associates or not, the VICIOUSNESS and HEINOUS nature of crime (obviously) makes it a hate crime."

" What happened to Megan Williams was INDESCIBABLE. It was without reason and without sense."

Rev. Sharpton agreed and had a tough message for those who disagree.

" Don't try and rationalize it...then sit down, shut up, and let somebody else handle it." " If your scared, say you're scared."
