Has anyone read From a Buick 8? It's probably my favorite King book.
But I have another question:
According to King, this book has a connection to the Dark Tower series, and I can't figure out what it is. I heard somewhere that the man in the beginning with the black hat and coat (who left the car at the gas station) might be a "low man" from the Tower series. But if that is the only connection, I am very dissapointed. Anybody have some information about other possible connections?

The low men in yellow coats are not human, but look like rats or weasels. They wear a human skin on top and dress all flashy, and drive colorful old model cars. In Dark Tower Seven, it gets into them in a little more detail.

They show up in Hearts in Atlantis, and try to capture an old guy named Ted, who is a breaker, a person who breaks the beams that uphold creation with their mind. (6 beams shoot off the Dark Tower and keep an infinity of universes stable)

They are known for wearing pimp like outfits, loud colors, and driving the flashy cars. Though From a Buick 8 shows us, it's not really a car at all, but something closer to Christine, which is somehow alive.

In the Dark Tower series, they travel between worlds with doors, some magic, some made with science. It seems the Low Men who work for the Crimson King, may travel between worlds with the car. So, that Buick 8 was kinda alive, and kinda a transporter.
