| It appears that the violence we have all seen or read about in Darfur has crossed the border in to Chad. For months the government of Chad had warned Sudan's government to stop the Janjaweed crossing the border as they chased refugees fleeing for thier lives, howevere the Janajweed are now operatin in Chad the East mainly but thier deadly and evil grip isgrowing more and more arabs that live in Chad are joinig the Janjaweed and turning neigbour against neigbour and villae against village in a type of civl war reminiscent of the early days of the Rwanda conflict.
All Chad has at the moment is the prospect of the incompotent AU a group of African soldiers that could not control a pre school disco let alone a civil war. However there may be hope firstly the west can surely not allow genocide to happen in two countries at once and secondly the government of Chad are not Arab and as such are not pro Janajweed they effectivly could ask for UN or even EU peacekeepers to go on thier and do thier thing. of course the political issue on loss of lives may hinder efforts initially but we can't stand idily by any longer if need be maybe NATO shoul do what it did in the Balkans and go over the head of the UN and take control it may lead to Sudanese declaration of war but I don't thik they would risk it. The thing is we have to act now because the Janjaweed number are growing by the day are we cannot wait until we have an African Al Queda launching deadlier attacks all over the continent. | |
