I just want to add that Annette Bening looked drunk the entire show she drank on camera, Renee Z looks like she's always crying and does she even have eyes? Jennifer Hudson tripped UP the stage, Helen Mirren's dress ripped a hole in the back when it got caught on the chair during her first award. America Ferrera's dress was waaay to tight. Her puppies were suffocated and over exposed! Cameron Diaz looked like a corpse bride, Meryl, Borat, and Forrest had the best acceptance speeches. What did you think?

Borat came in character did he? He seems to do that a lot...

I LOVED Meryl Streep's acceptance speech. It was totally filled with good, and fun, zingers.

Though, her dress was awful. And her hair looked like it hit a tornado. So, when she said something about how the movie, "The Devil Wears Prada," really had to WORK to make them look glam, to fit the parts, she wasn't kidding. She looked... frumpy. Yeah, that's it.

Ohhhh, Brad Pitt looked gorgeous... but, when he and Angelina were on the red carpet, and being interviewed by Ryan Seacrest, Brad was the only one talking. Angelina isn't comfortable at these things anymore. She likes being away from Hollywood. Still, it was nice to see them there.

Reese Witherspoon looked absolutely stunning... and so did Drew Barrymore. Oh, and Jennifer Love-Hewitt.

Nah, he was normal for once. People don't realize he does have a British sorta Euro accent.

I watched 24 and switched over briefly and was lucky enough to catch dudes speech. Total nails. I was cracking up.

-HECK!

Does anyone even know what Babel is about?
Grrrreat, now i have to watch that and dreamgirls. two movies i really wasn't interested in seeing.

was that a rip in helen mirren's dress? i wasn't sure if it was a rip or some weird accent to the dress!

Forest Whitaker was speechless, it was great to see someone who actually WASN'T prepared. not the phonies that go "ohmigosh, this is such a shock, i don't even have a speech prepared" and continue to name off everyone they know in alphabetical order and without mistakes or a breath. mmmhhhmmm.

I want to see Babel, because of Brad Pitt. But, my boss said that it was rather a drab and downer of a movie.

Plot summary for Babel:

This is a complex tale of four interlocking stories. A poor Morrocan family acquires a rifle to protect their goats. An American couple's bus tour holiday is shattered when she is accidentally shot. That couple's children, at home in the USA with their nanny/housekeeper, accompany her to Mexico to attend her son's wedding. A Japanese father, whose wife has committed suicide some time ago, is unable to communicate with his teenage daughter. A tragic tale for all concerned.

Man, that sounds like a happy movie.
I might skip it after all.

I'm not really a big Brad fan anyway. But I love Cate Blanchett. I really want to see Notes on a Scandal.
