I heard about this on the news it's really sad and must be heartbreaking for the families. What I can't understand though is why were the on deck if the sub was heading out to sea and surely in the navy you should be able to keep your feet evenin bad winds I would imagine they would have seen worse weather in thier time.

I guess they are there for a reason...they were probably doing some last minute finishing before the sub submerged...

But thats a guess...I dont know anything about subs and how they work.

The article said: "The USS Minneapolis-St. Paul was leaving Plymouth harbor accompanied by police boats in rough weather, police said. The four sailors were tied to the vessel with ropes — a routine precaution — but were knocked into the water by surging waves."

Anyhow...Im not sure about that stuff...but it is very sad.
