Okay the Wii is out and making record sales for the nintendo!
what is everyones impressions?

I'm jealous... fuscia's father-in-law is getting them a Wii for xmas (once they have more in stock). I want a Wii.

Interested in trying one out. The controllers look fun for kids but kind of silly to me. Dunno.

Wii have had ours for 2 days now and I can officially say it is weird. Wii only have the game that comes with it - tennis is fun- I nearly wet the couch laughing trying to learn how to box. You have 2 controllers and you wave em around to throw punches at the pads your trainer is holding up.I beat the crap outta the poor guy

I've heard that a lot of people have hit others....
and that the hand 'paddles' have flown off of hands, hitting, and breaking tv's and other household appliances. It's too funny.

The wii is cool. I knocked out a guy in boxing in the second round. I may suck at the other games, but momma can sho box.

I saw a controler for the Wii that looked like a regular controler when I was trying to find a new x box controler. Noone has them anymore, it's all x box 360.

but yeah, a regular control not a remote control looking thing, first thing I thought of was how whizzel said he wouldn't get teh wii because of the controler. wonder if it was real or just my imagination that is looked regular.

Tsk, my mate brought his Wii over when i was in Australia and we played it for hours. It's a good little thing, probably help most kids get some much needed exercise too. I don't know about how exciting it'll be in the long run, though, the games are kind of cool, but will get boring fast. There were a few cooler looking games that I haven't played but saw it stores... I like the baseball and the boxing... sweet stuff. Tennis is alright too.

Zelda I imagine would be good; the others don't really interest me. They do have a Far Cry game for the Wii, though, which I'd be really into. Didn't get to play anything like that though.

The game i want is call of duty 3 . The top selling game however, is some kind of cooking game (our 5 year old daughter would love it)

What a shock.... it must be related to the "Call of Duty" games that you play.

I take it the Wii has online gaming abilities? I haven't heard much about that part of it.


EDIT: actually, that's a lie, my mate told me that you're able to get your little Wii-Man to walk around and meet other Wii-ple. That's about all I know.

yeah you create a profile called "Mii" and they are planning on having full online gaming with it.

Dang... that would be cool. What if you could take your Mii up to another person's Mii, and sock 'em, or something. Great times to be had.

What I like is that it gives you some exercise... not much, and not that hard, but a little.

I really want to go over to Sherry's and watch this thing... see a game, or two, played. I've only seen the commercials. But, I'm excited about getting to see it.

Anybody that thinks you get no exercise playing Wii should watch my 7-year old play. He jumps around ,swings wildly, sometimes falls over, and smacks himself in the shoulder with the Wiimote. He does kick some butt at the games though

I don't have enough space to own a Wii. I'd end up putting the remote through a wall on accident. That would be unpleasant. However, I'm sure that the cost of replacing a remote, combined with the cost of the console itself, still pales in comparison to just getting a standard PS3. So that's a bonus, I guess.

I don't see much creativity in the games that are presently available, but that might just be due to the fact that I've only seen like 3 games and haven't had sufficient interest to check out more...

There was a report the other day that they said that playing the Wii for more than 30 minutes at a time can cause strain and should be avoided.

I was like "duh, doing anything for 30 minutes at a time can cause strain... dumbasses"

Tell that to my mojo after playing Enter The Matrix for 3 hours.

It seems the Wii is a big hit with the under 10 crowd, the over 40 crowd, and anybody else thats not into gaming. At least thats how itstacks up in my house

from what i read the wii outsold everything during christmas. the reason xbox 360 is so up there is because its been out a year
