Norman Kember was a British Christian peace activist who was kidnapped in Iraq in November 2005, and held for almost 4 months before being freed after a raid.

He is now being asked to testify against the kidnappers but he is reluctant to do so as Iraq may well execute the kidnappers and Kember is against the death penalty.

Is this Christianity in action, and Kember is a good Christian or is he a fool.

Timeline: Norman Kember abduction

British peace activist Norman Kember has been freed in Iraq along with two Canadian colleagues. The body of fellow hostage Tom Fox was found in Baghdad two weeks ago.

The BBC News website looks at the events since the four westerners were kidnapped during a peace mission to Iraq in November, by a group demanding the release of Iraqi prisoners.
