Whatever the midterm result - Bush could still come out a winner.

If the Dems do well it will give Bush a get out of jail card in regard to Iraq, meaning the Dems get the blame for whatever happens.

If the Republicans do well, well Bush avoids becoming a lame duck President.

So what's best for Bush?
