That I do, but the moves should be the same. I read a huge FAQ on this, though, and it seems like you do a different combo depending on what way the guy's facing. confuses the hell out of me.
I just want to "up down up down block block" you know?
But the only differences in the combos really is if you're on the ground or mid-air. Sometimes you have to change fighting styles, like pull out a sword, to continue you the combo. It's doing the air deals that chap my chapper.
I never think about combos all that much. I'm just hitting buttons willy-nilly. I know where the punches and kicks are, so I just see what happens.
The weapons are mad. Liu Kang's chucks really rip it up. So do Meat's cleavers.
I like that you can do a fatality without really thinking about it. I kicked some fellow into a meat grinder once. Didn't mean too, but I wasn't complaining.
I tend to try and remember basic combos, little three or four hitters. If I'm focusing on one character I'll lock down a better one. Of course the random button press technique can come in handy.
The stage fatalities are cool. Except when I play my girlfriend and she smacks me off a cliff in ten seconds, then not so cool.

How to do Fatalities:
Rules:
1. Fatalities cannot be started with transitions.
2. Fatalities must start with a forward chain or forward ender.
If you start it with an ender that will be it, just that one move.
3. To do transitions you have to do at least one forward chain
before switching your opponents position around.
4. To be considered a fatality you have to finish it with an ender.
5. You must be standing next to the enemy to start a fatality.
How it's done:
Wait for it to say "Finish Him!" Across the screen, pay close attention
to the bar under the words, once the bar starts going down you can begin
your fatality with a forward chain. You link multiple moves by putting
in another move once your character has finished the previous move.
Do whichever moves/transitions you like and finish it with an ender.

Very true. But a handful of characters share similar fighting styles and combos, so if you learn one character you've actually learned a couple. Once you get the hang of it the moves start coming really easy.
When the dude is peaced, you have to start by doing one of those initial moves. I know it's confusing. Like I did the forward, forward triangle on the PS2 and that did the heart rip. Then you do another little combo, and that does another tier fatality. And so on. To start I was button mashing and got up to the third fatality deal.
So lets say you are in front of the guy when you beat him after round two do the following moves one at a time. Only do the next one after you complete the one prior.
(Don't know if you have XB or PS2 so check the key)
Ditto here, I played the Konquest for a couple of hours yesterday. My wrists were sore afterwards, but I was like 100,000 up by the end of it. And I'm still not at the end, what the dealio?
Yeah, I was the same way. That's a pee break for me. Less talky, more fighty I say. Reminds me of that South Park episode with Towlie, those army guys and scientist people are trying to explain their plots but the kids don't care, they just want to play their video game.
