What did Mel Gibson say that has cause conservative media and Hollywood to criticize ? No one can be critical of Jewish culture? this is crazy.

Yep. Mel shouldn't have said it. It was an offensive statement. I'd bet that you would have been starting thread after thread if Mel had made such a statement about a group that you are a part of.

Well the statement he made was completly stupid and bigoted and just plain innaccurate. Howevere not being Jewish I was not offended I was embarressed for Gibson but it did not really bother me.

I think though Whideden has a point Malcolm if Gibson said all America's troubles are the fault of blacks then you would rightly be going nuts and I doubt you would ignore it.

Malcolm, you would have been blasting Mel, all over this board, had he blamed the blacks. His comments were bigoted, and disrespectful. Also, he is spreading hatred with those comments. But, I guess it doesn't matter, after all, since he didn't blame "your cause!"

If you're rich, and famous, it seems that you always get away with things, with a little handslap. Its about time that there was some serious backlash due to their "little mistakes"

I think you're anti-semetic if you don't like Jews because they're Jewish. Being critical is not being racist, but if you cram an entire religion into a narrow opinion, that has shades of racism.

It's not anti semetic to ay those things Malcolm, I think that Isarel ( not all Jews) have a hell of al,ot to answer for and had it not been for thre US Israel would have been sanctioned back to the stone age for some of thier actions so they obvioulsy are doing some things wrong, criticism can be a good thing and can open up a good debate but for Gibson to come out and say that the Jews are responsible for all wars was stupid and plain wrong.
