Someone's got to be smoking the people at GamePro, Games Radar, Console Game World and Games Dailys' john, because the ratings they've given this game are too insane. It's a mortal kombat game people! With slightly better graphics and modified gameplay... but it's not like they went over the top with originality or anything!

I'm still waiting to hear Heck's review on this game. It will probably help to decide if I get this in the future or not.

Ditto, I wanna hear what someone who I can actually trust says.

That's what I'm talking about. Anyone can be making up those ratings... but, you and Heck are straight shooters.

Alright, got the game yesterday. I didn't get to play that long, had some work to do, and judging by the depth of this game I think this review is going to be spaced over a few days.

Initial reaction: cool deal.

There are several different facets to the game.

The regular kombat is the what we've seen gradually evolve from the last two games. Graphics seem a little sharper but it could just be the new game glow in my eyes. The kharacter select screen is awesome. So many people to choose from. It's like you don't care there are some locked people. Big whoop. It would take hours to play each person. I really liked the regular kombat from Deception, and this is as good if not better, so it gets a tentative

The rest of the modes I haven't even scratched yet but they look awesome.

Kreate a Kharacter has tons of potential. I was checking it out and you can alter even the smallest details on your new fighter. Nose, lips, hair, eyes, etc. And for the chick fighters you can change their boobie size! BOOBIE SIZE! You could spend hours making your new character. With the create a fatality deal, this is freakin' cool.

Konquest looks to be the best yet. Can't wait to dive in, I know it will take a while to complete.

Then there's Motor Kombat, a Mario Kart style race game. Can't wait to try it. Looks cheeseball but could be fun.

For $40 this game already looks like it's worth it. I can see myself wasting hours on it before even getting really started.

Again, it's going to take a few days. I'm going to get the lady to play with me this weekend so she can chime in maybe.

What I think you should do is this.... drive down here, to SD, and bring the game. Then, you come to my place, and we play it!

That would be dope. You supply the beer, I'll bring the game. But the lady will be in my hood this weekend... no drive to SD for me this weekend.
