Clay's new album "A Thousand Different Ways" is what he says is a collection of love songs from the last 20 years. There are 10 covers and 4 originals. If you buy the album through K-Mart, you get an exlusive download of the song "If You Don't Know Me By Now." If you download the song off of iTunes, you get a free bonus track "Lover All Alone" which was written entirely by Clay!

I have to say that if you can go and get the "Lover All Alone" bonus track, please don't hesistate. It's one of the most beautiful and haunting songs you will ever hear and gives us a glimpse into Clay's heart like no other song has.

Please discuss your review of the album here. I would love to hear the differing opinions on it. I'll post mine at a later date.

Incidently, Clay's album ended at #2 on the new release charts (not sure which website posted this. I think it was Amazon.) Clay came in second only to Justin Timberlakes new album.

Clay says he's okay with the album coming in second, "I'm used to it. Second place isn't so bad."

Well, I would pipe up here, but I have not bought the album, and have no plans too. I like him aight, but not enough to part with any cash.

Fucsia: I really think you'll be pleased with it. Especially if you were a big fan of the 80s ballads. Broken Wings and Every Time You Go Away are by far my favorites. I have them on repeat on my WMP.

OMG! I just heard "Sorry Seems to Be The Hardest Word". Wow. It doesn't sound like Clay, but it sounds sooooo good. His voice is soft and full of emotion. I WANT this CD. Too bad I'm broke right now.

Omgosh, I just listened to a part of the cd only 30 seconds of each song on iTunes, but it was amazing. I love Clay so much! I think my mom's buying me this cd for christmas and I sure hope that she does cuz that would be great! I miss you guys!

My husband heard "sorry seems to be the hardest word" and he made fun of it. He now has to buy it for me for Xmas and buy it in a crowded store.

oh I'll see it later on then. I just think... well, it was remade by Blue not long ago... I wouldn't think it'd be the best choice for a single... (it is a single, right?)

No he released two singles off the album already. "Without You" (the one that Mariah idon'tCarrey butchered) and "A Thousand Days" which is an original.

Mariah's version of Without You wasn't bad. She does have a tendancy to over-do it though.

So how many tracks on the albums are covers, and how many are originals? And do you know who wrote them?

Picked some good songs to remake. I actually didn't know Badfinger did "Without You" first.

Without you was the first single Clay released. I personally didn't think it was a good idea because Clay is the forth one to release that song as a single.
