Yeah, I meant the one from the 80's. I liked Sting in it, and Captain Picard was in it for a little bit. I don't really hate it, but it's just SLOW as molasses. I don't think I have ever sat through the whole thing. Always got bored and moved on.

I voted for Howard the Duck and the Godfather III. I sat through the Godfather III and I'm still pissed about it.

Part of the reason the movie angers me so much, is that the first two were so awesome. It's like they owed it to you to make a decent movie. If it would have been even mildly good, we would have rooted for it, as the others were A class.
As it was, the movie was so bad, it hurt to watch it, and instead of just moving on, you kept watching it, hoping it would get better, and that somehow, the end would pull the movie out of the crapper.
But instead, the ending was worse that anything you could even imagine. The directors daughter was a terrible actress. The plot sucked. In one and two, we see a powerful self assured God like villain/good guy, who even if we disagree with his methods and politics, we can relate to him.
In part 3, we see a washed up tired self doubting old man, who can't make a decision and lets people walk all over him. Sure, maybe in real life, a repentant mobster is what we want, yeah no doubt,
but in the movies, it's escapism, and we want to see a fantasy person, good or bad, but one who is tougher and stronger than we are.
They crucified Godfather 3, and I wished I would have listened to the critics who said not to watch it. You can't help but think, "man, one and two were so good, how can three be that bad? I'm gonna watch it anyway".

| Posted by: fuscia | | The Godfather is one of my all time favorite movies. Before I had kids, I would watch it every single time I had a migraine.
The third one was bad for so many reasons.
1) Sophia Copola- she could not act.
2) Michael being sickly and weak, yeah right! They would have killed him or forced him into retirement
3)cousin love- um ewwww and no way would that happen with Michael being the Uncle. Little nephew would be minus a couple of friends.
4) It was sooooooo long | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: gaboman | | Critters is awesome. Don't add it. But why is Hudson Hawk there? That movie is cool. So is Last Action Hero.
I voted for a few though... Superman 4, Godzilla, Batman and Robin, Godfather 3... a few others I don't remember right now. 'Lotta sucky movies up there. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: Sandy June | | Looks like Godfather 3 is winning so far. I haven't seen all these movies. Some of them on the list I thought were o.k. movies such as Jurassic Park 3 and Star Wars episode 1. | | Reply To this Message
|
| Posted by: gaboman | | Exactly, Jurassic Park 3 killed number 2 (it was at least interesting, Michael Crichton or not), and Star Wars episode 1 is fine, 'cept for that little wanna-be-woo-hoo-Jedi kid. And Jar Jar.... And Midichlorines...
you know what, never mind. | | Reply To this Message

I think if this poll were a movie it would be the worst movie ever. Please add it to the list.
That being said, I think Passion Of The Christ was lame.
And I'll have you know Hudson Hawk was the BOMB succcckaaaaa!
Man, I am laughing to the pee point right about here.

I liked some of the songs, but yeah, except for the brief dentist scene with Steve Martin and Bill Murray, that movie was a turd.

Yeah, compared to the first trilogy, they suck. But I was able to glean something out of Episode 2 and 3, because I compare them to Episode One.

Episode One makes me angry as well. The part where I explode into a flaming ball of fire, is when they are showing one of the coolest light saber battles ever, then they swith over to Jar Jar and his El Fako Crones fighting the dweeber El Fako droids.
Then they go to Padma scaling the walls with some repelling equipment that goes the wrong way.
INFURIATING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Right Wing Whidden poisoned your mind with this:
You know, I admit full well that I forgot that movie. I would have added it to the list. And Al Gores Global Warming movie. I must have forgotten my right wing values when I made this poll DAMMIT. |
No sir, your right wing agenda is very apparent in the movies you selected. To the untrained eye it might seem random but I see right through your trickery and web of republican deceit:
Star Trek 5
Kirk and Spock think they have found God. Kirk asks God what he wants with a starship. Your right wing moral majority finds this as blasphemy.
Aliens 3
Off the success of an Academy Award winning role, Sigourney Weaver is forced into this movie and her character is summarily killed. Your anti-woman agenda is blatantly obvious.
Howard the Duck
Intelligent life outside of our solar system? People with your political ideology burned scientists at the stake for such a notion.
Superman 4
Superman, a walking equivalent of American superiority, battles a person called Solar Man who gets his power from the sun. It's painfully obvious you hate conservation and people who use solar energy. That's how the fat cat republicans who have energy company lobbyists in their pockets make all their money.
Godzilla (1998 version)
A freakish lizard is a byproduct of a nuclear mutation, trying to show the public that such things are too far-out to really happen. More pro-nuclear power Mr. Burns style mumbo jumbo.
Star Wars Episode One
Oh, why was this bad? Because the hero was the result of immaculate conception? Or because another main character could be compared to a racial stereotype? Your staunch religious views and racist point of view is clear my friend.
Rocky 5
This movie is a perfect analogy for Social Security. Rocky (the WW2 generation) is on top. But when a up and comer (younger generation) starts to fight, gain momentum, look who shows up to beat him down and crush his future. Thanks a lot.
Waterworld
You don't want to see that pollution and melting of the polar ice caps will make us live on metal boats, grow gills and drink pee.
From Justin to Kelly
Against inter-racial dating.
The Godfather Part 3
Against Italian-Americans.
Blair Witch 2
More religious rhetoric.
Batman and Robin (Clooney)
Anti-gay couples.
Battlefield Earth
Anti-Scientology.
Wild Wild West
Anti-diversity in law enforcement and pro-Southern dominance.
Blues Brothers 2000
Don't want people to dress like your Patriot Act loving Men In Black that carry out your political parties covert trash, do you?
The Thin Red Line
Anti-truth about war.
Showgirls
Anti-woman and women's rights.
Hudson Hawk
Backdoor slam to Da Vinci and The Da Vinci Code. Shame.
Judge Dredd
This one is a red herring. The republican mind wants our police force to be judge, jury and executioner. But what Whidden's done here is cleverly snuck this in to mask his overall agenda. Well done, but you gotta wake up pretty early to sneak one past me.
Lost in Space (1998)
No, the right wing doesn't want you to think the Earth is being polluted to the point of no return and we will one day need a handsome family, a hotshot pilot, a creepy molester doctor and a dorky robot to try to find a hospitable planet for us to move to but accidentally get lost along the way.
Glitter
Against women in the workplace succeeding.
Gigli
Against the mentally challenged.
Dune
Blatant attack on and a corollary to the events in the Middle East.
Last Action Hero
A knock against Arnold, although he is a republican, he's a foreigner and will never be apart of the right wing agenda.
Jurassic Park 3
Anti-cloning and stem cell research.
I think I've made my point... that I have too much time on my hands.

I'v been called out. It's all out in the open now for all to see. I can't refute one single line of that Logic. If I had one ounce of decency or morality, I would recuse myself from this poll, as I am obviously politically skewed.
Thankfully, I lack moral fiber, and feel no guilt of conscience. All I can say, is I hope this poll, in some small way, helps defeat Hillary Clinton and her left wing ilk in the upcoming 2008 elections.
Eat it Hillary. I hope you accomplish what my man Dubs could not, that you choke to death on a Salted Pretzel.
