Bad Geography, I'm stupid like Whidden.

I have 3 popular places, that when mentioned, my subconscious puts them in a certain place.


If I stop and really think about it, I know I'm wrong, and know the where the place is really at. I will give you 3 examples.


1. The Supreme Court. I know it's in Washington. But every time it's mentioned on the news, I think of it in California.



2. The United Nations. I know it's in New York City, but when it's mentioned I think it's in the Netherlands.


3. The West Bank. I know it's on Israels right, when you look at a map of Israel, but since it's called the West Bank, I always picture it somewhere over to the left of Israel. (I guess the name comes from it being west of Jordan)





Anyhow, any stupid people like me, that get their geography all mixed up?

I don't even know where I am half the time. Much less where any of those places are!

I do the same with the West Bank. I know where the others are though.

Whenever I heard news about Hsin Zhu, I immediately think of Hsi Zhu is it... is it the same thing?

Someone asked me for directions once, wanted to know which was was east, and I pooped my pants. Of course the two events were unrelated.
