I don't think it will. Castro was obvioulsy steafst in his beliefs and as his brother Raul is pretty much the same but Raul does not have the charisma Fidel had, he is also not as well known and is not as popular. So I thinknit will stay the way it is but it might take a few bad months for the people if Raul needs to ensure that people fall into line.

Hasn't Cuba loosened up a bit recently, economically anyway? If it does move towards democracy and a free market economy then it doesn't want to make the mistake the Soviets did and have a free-for-all sell off of all its assets to people who's only interest is the amount of money they can screw out of the place.

I have heard there are some good things about Cuba - isn't it's health system one of the best in the world? Does anyone seriously think that war is the best answer to Cuba's lack of freedoms?

Perhaps when the brothers finally die from an OD, or one wises up and stops screwing the people of the country.

Cuba ceratinly does have one of the best helath systems on earth and they has been some liberlisation in the business and economy field for example Cuba has started accepting the dollar and they have allowed some entreprunership to occur also the tourist industry is booming and has given cuba a real shot in the arm.
