| Posted by: gaboman | | Anybody who ever saw the movie Tommy Boy knows that the Carpenters rock, but everyone's just afraid to admit it.
Superstar, Hurting Each Other, Rainy Days & Mondays, We've Only Just Begun, and so on... all great songs. Karen Carpenter was really a remarkable singer. | | Reply To this Message

Where is the political correctness you insensitive ape?!?!?
She was the one who choked on the sandwich. Er, her or Mama Cass. Some eating disorder fat skinny urban legend thing....
Uh, the poll here. yeah. O.K. I do like that one tune that they play now and again, I don't have it on mp3, I wish I did. I don't know the name of it though. I think she was on a merry go round in the video. The kind in the park, that you power yourself.

I LOVE the Carpenters... and the death of Karen was one of the greatest tragedies in music to this day. Her voice just flowed, with perfection... and she would have been up there, vocally, with Celine Dion and Barbra Streisand. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: fuscia | | She did have a very beautiful and unique voice. No one sounds like her. One of the best voices ever. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: HECK! | | Alright, I remember her now, I found a picture of her. Was never a fan really. Always felt her music was too preachy. Seemed they were bent on world domination.
