I participate in a couple of message boards, but this is my first "hello" here. I'm looking forward to getting to know people at inreview! I am poking around on a few different message boards to figure out which ones I like best.

So, for my first entry here...

I love books, and read two or three every week. I wanted to pass along a wonderful discovery that I made last week, a new book called "Beneath a Marble Sky". This novel retells the incredible story behind the creation of the Taj Mahal.

I will read Beneath a Marble Sky several times during my lifetime. I know that. The book is that good. The beauty of this novel made me cry on several occasions (the last time this happened was when I read The Grapes of Wrath). And amazingly, Beneath a Marble Sky is not only powerful, but one that inspired my fingers to turn the pages as quickly as possible. What a perfect, perfect debut novel. I think we can expect incredible things from the author, John Shors.

Has anyone else read this lovely book? I'd enjoy chatting about it. I bought a few copies for my friends, but just passed them out the other day.

I hope everyone is well!

Havn't heard of the book. Is it fiction or based on real life events?

Widden,

It's historical fiction. It reminds me of Memoirs of a Geisha, though it's more of a page-turner. It's really quite fantastic.

Thanks for the welcome sign!
