Went to Ozzfest '06 over the weekend. My third time at this piece and let me say it was wild once again.
Went with five homies this time around. It was totally cool.
As far as the music goes, Avenge Sevenfold was dope. But the power went out during their set and the crowd erupted into a giant food fight. It was lawn seats vs. orchestra seats. The food evolved into water bottles and the battle was fierce. My buddy went to huck a bottle but for whatever reason aimed really low and tagged this chick in the dome about five feet away. Comedy. Disturbed was solid, as per usual. Third time at Ozzfest, third time seeing Disturbed. Nothing new. Social D was dope until they got all 'political'. If you've read my posts in the Political Forum here you know my stance, but even if I agree to a certain extent, just shut up and play the music you monkeys.
All in all, good show and a great time. Jumped in the mosh pit for a while. My buddy got in a brawl and nearly choked some dude out. There were people getting ass kicked everywhere, blood, security, tons of trash being lit, it was wild. In the distance you could see chicks letting themselves be explored quite personally by their male companions. It's like once you get in the gates some of these clowns just lose all inhibitions... and let say, it's quite a sight.
Might not go next year, but this won't be my last Ozzfest.
Yeah, we went up all day Saturday. I had been out on Friday, so Sunday was a big day just to chill. I didn't leave the couch, except for many bottles of water.
Oh yeah. It was brutal. I was up until 6am on Friday, then on the way to Ozzfest at like noon. In the heat, drinking, I was a soldier
My buddy brought almost 100 beers. I brought an 18 pack, I felt insecure about it. Another friend got a 'special' brownie from some hippie. I was like, good luck with all that. Not my deal, but if it was, I sure as hell wouldn't buy it off some dirty hippie.
