From Southern plantations to mud-soaked swamps, the hunters follow the Underground Railroad to search for the next clue.

I'm really looking forward to tonight's episode. It looks like it's getting harder, and that people are getting tired. I hope that the Fogel's have a VERY hard time at it.

I think that they show the daughter, from the Fogel team, just totally done... she's whining, and ready to toss in the towel. Though, show's always try to show something, and it isn't what happens. So, they will get her back in the game if she is ready to quit.

I just hope that the Air Force team comes out on top.

I really hope that there's no pairing up teams again. Team Air Force got the shaft last week, having to stick with the Fogals. I hope that Air Force comes out in the lead on this one

Well, the Fogels were probably the only ones who WOULD work with them!

I think that everyone else was stupid. Want to know why? I'm gonna tell ya anyway.

Look at the brain power from the Air Force team! They really think about things... and they move quickly. Wouldn't it be to another teams ADVANTAGE to actually pair up with them? You would think so!!!

Yeah, you'd think it would click. Another thing the other teams ought to realize is if they really want the Fogal gone they shouldn't pair them with Air Force! Air Force is strong and smart enough that the Fogals aren't going to drag them down too much and they're sure to stay in this thing.

They should have put 'em with the dumb boys from Texas. That would have been funny.. because neither team would have made it.

OMG....shut up Fogel girl! Geez...I would have left her just to have some peace and quiet...for the rest of the game (the WHOLE game)! How annoying can one person be??? The Southie boys were dumbfounded by this gal....well, who wouldnt be!

Well......the CIA won the 30,000 but the actual task isnt over, so it still goes into next week. No teams eliminated this evening.

In the dark of early dawn, the remaining seven teams received their next communication: To find the fourth clue, they would have to unlock the code that protected America's most secret journey. The search began outside their hotel doors with an old newspaper article written by author Walt Whitman describing the Atlantic Avenue Tunnel in Brooklyn.

Team Miss USA figured out how to enter the tunnel and decided to tip off Ex-CIA since they had been so helpful in the past. While driving to the tunnels, the Brown Family became the first team to guess that this challenge was about the Underground Railroad.

Other teams weren't quite as united. While the Southie Boys bickered, the Geniuses were coming unhinged over Sam's asthma and other medical issues that prevented him from running or moving as fast as the others.

Miss USA made their descent into the murky tunnel where they found a cache of Civil War memorabilia and some words scrawled along the uneven wall. With the words memorized, they left the tunnel, leaving behind a book that they decided wasn't germane to the quest.

The Southie Boys and the Geniuses were next to the cache. When they opened the book, they discovered a clue leading to their next destination: a plantation in Georgetown. When they emerged back into the light of day, Miss USA realized that they'd left something behind and decided to return to the dark depths of the crumbling tunnel.

The Southie Boys headed out to the next location with the inspiring news that the first team to reach the next clue would receive a $30,000 prize. Meanwhile, Miss USA got the clues out of the tunnel, but their mistake put them into fourth place. Because of this, they decided to break their alliance with Ex-CIA.

Ex-CIA and the Fogal Family were fifth and sixth to enter and leave the tunnel. They were both on their way by the time the Brown Family made their initial descent. Knowing they were behind, tge Browns put some pepper in their step as they searched for the clue.

The Southie Boys were first to arrive at Georgetown's Beneventum Plantation where they learned that plantations like that one were departure points for slaves fleeing through the Underground Railroad to freedom. Sometimes, they embroidered maps onto quilts to hide their routes. The teams had to find such a quilt that would lead them though a swamp to a box containing little keys. The Southie Boys were off and running in no time to "follow the drinking gourd" to a hidden key that would unlock a box containing the $30,000.

The other teams were quick to head into the swamp in search of the elusive treasure box. The Brown Family, arriving last, knew they had to make up some time and threw themselves into the hunt with gusto.

The Southie Boys ran into the Fogals and they decided to throw in their lot together. Elsewhere, Miss USA and Air Force also decided to partner up. Forging ahead on their own, Ex-CIA struggled through the harsh terrain until Mark collapsed on the ground, spent and out of breath.

Kayte Fogal was having a meltdown of her own and "couldn't go any farther." The others watched as she cried, whined, and complained. "I don't want to do this anymore!" she shouted hysterically.

Ex-CIA arrived at the "old man" box where a message from Laird informed them that they had reached a critical point: For the next leg of their journey, they would have to board a two-person boat and make the tough decision whether or not to return to pick up the third team member, which would cost them three hours of time.

Crying and on her knees, Kayte begged her parents to cut her loose from the hunt, which caused her mom to burst into tears as dad looked on in distress. Finally, Margie and Brad got on the boat and headed out, leaving their daughter behind.

The Browns struggled through the swamp until Keith tore a leg muscle. A team of medics arrived to put him on a stretcher and carry him out of the swamp. Meanwhile, the two Ex-CIA members who set off by boat returned to collect Todd from the shore. The Geniuses, however, were falling apart at the seams as Sam's asthma threatened to kick in and he struggled to keep up.

Kayte's tears dried up when she saw her parents returning for her. With newfound resolve, Kayte was ready to go on. Air Force also returned to collect their third member, as did Miss USA.

With all the clues assembled, the Southie Boys, Ex-CIA, and Air Force raced toward the box containing the gold with Ex-CIA beating them to the punch. With key in hand, they opened the box, and the treasure was theirs.

Francis and Charles of team Geniuses left Sam behind as they headed out on their boat. With the water gently lapping, they decided that it made more sense for them not to return for their struggling teammate. To be continued...

Kayte Fogel is very annoying. She was on everyones nerves with her constant whining. But, it was a stresser, and some people just can't do those things. (Maybe she should have been praying rather than whining.)

I was SO glad that the ex-CIA team got the $30k, because I did NOT want the Southie Boys getting it. I can't stand 'em. They all three, with those attitudes, remind me of Boston Rob from Survivor. Cocky! Can't stand people who act like that... and I would rather have them leave then the Fogels I know, I can't believe that I've said that either. Also, by them getting the $, and the Air Force team not in the lead, I'm hoping that will get people to see that they aren't the biggest threat, and won't all gang up on 'em.

I liked the little "confrontation" between team Air Force and the southie boys. But, they denied everything. "We aren't all teaming up against you."

I wonder if the geniuses will decide to go back for Sam, or not. They have no idea what's happened with the Browns, so they don't know that they aren't anywhere near them. Will their greed win out in the end, and they dump him? It will be interesting.

I was bummed that we got a "To be continued...." at the end. But, I'm excited about that as well, because it's just one 'extra' week of the show. Can't wait until next week, to find out who's the next team to leave.

I knew the Browns would get tooled and one would get taken out in an ambulance. If the other two can make it of course they'll ditch the one dude.

I bet the smarties ditch that other kid. It's sad, but they pick on him a lot. True, he's dead weight, but still.

The little Fogal is a drama queen. Man o man, what a whiny little brat. Her parents are just kissing her butt the whole way while she's throwing a tantrum. Hilarious. I hope they are gone soon.

I like the twist on leaving someone behind. Interesting.

It was cool though, how each team came back for their one person left behind.

The Browns, well... the one guy is hurt, and gone... so, they would have to continue on without him. But, the geniuses... they will be the one team who might actually ditch a team mate.

Initially I thought they could leave someone back just for this leg of the hunt, not the whole thing. Once I realized it I tripped out. Interesting strategy. I thought for sure the Fogals would Fogal the young Fogal, for Foaglin' sure.

Yeah... they should have. Sheesh, the mom is all crying, hysterically, about leaving her daughter behind. It's not like you're leaving her in a war zone, to die.

And what was the daughter wigging out about, she was losing her mind. I hate these people. I'm not just saying that either, I literally hate these Fogals.

I think that she was just physically feeling worn out... like they all were... but then, she couldn't mentally handle it. It was just too much, and she needed to wig out. She's a nut... but, I would have probably been much the same (simply because of my spinal disease, and all those damn snakes).

Still, they all know that they are on national television. You'd think she'd try to suck it up a little so that not everyone in the country would complain about her and her family.

I can not believe that Little Fogal gets away with throwing a temper tantrum. She's a full-grown adult, right? She's acting like she's thirteen and her parents let her do it. I can't stand it!

You know, Fogel daddy is a pastor, isn't he? Wonder what his church thinks about them now.

Mys, I am all for muzzling the Fogal Brat for the remainder of the show. The Fogals could have totally made me happy by marooning that spoiled turd bucket with Swamp Thing in the dirty south. I swear, I would Fogal her into the ground head first like a dart. Southies should give her a wiiiiiiiiicked smack. That would be a pissah.

Also, I've said it before, but I don't know how the Browns were even selected to be on the show. I swear I thought on the first episode Big Brown was going to drop into the ocean like a freakin' stone. I mean, we have former Air Force and CIA contestants, with years of training and conditioning versus some overweight dudes who are intelligent yet physically inferior. Not too fair.

Well, there are going to be things for all people to partake in. It's not just for those who are physical. What would be the fairness in that? Besides, it give a bit of entertainment to the show. Look at the Wild Hanlons. They don't have one complete brain between the three of them, yet they made it on the show. So, you don't have to be able to figure things out to get on the show.

I agree, don't get me wrong. I'm not saying only the hub people should be on the show. But when you have Air Force people and severely overweight people, I mean they were huge. The Smarties are a little big but they manage just fine.

Right... the Browns are huge... esp the one that can't swim, and just got hurt.
I was surprised that they tried for the show... but, everyone has to be given a fair shot. Besides, they are decently intelligent. They are just slow, and that's what holds them up. Maybe with the other brother out, they will move faster.

Well, hell, they can't move any slower I hope they go far, beat the Fogals at least. I hate them so very, very much. They could win this thing, never count out the underdog.

You know, I don't like the Fogels, but I found that I don't like the Southie's more than them.

Really? What did they do to get on your list? Especially to dislike them more than the Fogalin' Fogals.

I don't like their attitudes... I wrote that in my little review of the nights episode. I don't like their cockiness. Remind me of Boston Rob from Survivor. I've never liked cocky people. Plus, I didn't like the way they were when the peeps from the Air Force team confronted them about teaming up with everyone, and leaving them out... and flat out lying. They TOTALLY did that. So, I just don't like 'em. Sorry... haven't really liked 'em since day one though.

Teams that are 'okay' to me: Miss USA, Fogals, Browns, ex-CIA

Team that I REALLY like: Air Force (and I liked the Grad Students)

Teams I don't like: Wild Hanlons, Southie Boys

The Air Force, like most of you, are my favorites. What can I say...my dad was an Air Force guy.

Anyhow...still like them the best...

The Southies....hmmm...dont hate 'em, dont' like 'em. I really dont feel one way or another about them.

I do like the CIA guys....but I dont like the geniuses...they are smart in life, but not really bright in this game. The blonde genius at the top of the lighthouse wasnt even sure that those were roman numerals and how obvious was that! His friend said right away what they were but he didnt know? Unreal!

I did however, and still do, love Boston Rob!

The one thing I don't like about the show is how they all help each other. That is hella ig'nant. I wouldn't help a GD person. It's like, how hard is it when you don't have to think of crap and just breeze through the whole game.

Well, just think about it this way, Heck...

If you could help someone out, and then later found yourself stuck, that person (or team) might be there to help you out.

If you help no one... no one is going to help you.

True, but I don't think anyone should help another team. Like in the Amazing Race if/when they did help each other it would be minimal and very infrequent. I would rather see teams work indenpendent over gaggles of goofballs trying to be petty and screw each other. Save that for Big Brother

Well, I think that there would be a lot less "helping" and "teaming up" if they did one really important thing.

When they leave, at the beginning of a "mission" they shouldn't all get to go at the same time. There should be time penalities. If you show up first, you are the first to leave for the next thing. The second team should leave at a certain penalty time after that, and so on and so forth.

Agreed. That's how AR does it and it works for them. Not to mention they all have cell phones and talk to each other. Weak and hella lame. With the computers this thing is far too easy, I thought it would be a lot more challenging.

Well, it's easy, in some ways... but, there are challenges, Heck!!!

Besides, I believe that once they get down to like 5 teams, we're going to see some REALLY hard stuff thrown at them.

Plus, this is the launch show... the tester, if you will. They will be getting a lot of feed back, and I believe, changing things around, and making improvements to the game as time goes on.

You're right. But you know how impatient I am. I wanted it stuck to them in the first episode. As long as it gets tougher I'm cool with it.

My main problem with the challenges is that even if another team doesn't help you, which is often, they aren't overly difficult. It seems more scavenger hunt rather than teams hunting for clues. I think the clues should be tougher and there should be more red herrings.

That's what I was hoping for too... and I think that it will be that way come the later challenges!

The finale better be huge or I will riot.

Wonder if they will do this again next season. I haven't heard much about the ratings so far...

I haven't heard anything about the ratings... but, I do hope that it comes back!

I wouldn't mind if it came back, so far it's solid for a summer show, not much else on to begin with.

The production value is impressive but that means the budget is probably pretty big. So unless the ratings are up there it might not come back.
