If you pick any country to live in... for whatever reason (and do share, if you want), which would you choose?

This poll is open to multiple choice. Also, if you don't see a country on here of your choice, choose "Other" and tell us where.

Ireland (Beautiful country)

New Zealand (Lucy Lawless... 'nuff said)

Scotland (My family line)
Though, most are from Germany... but, I don't want to live there.

United States (There are many places here in the US that I would love to live)

... I can't really choose. I guess if I had a choice, and enough money, I'd live 1 year in each Country

Though it'd be nice to live near my family again

Oh, a year in each country. That's a great choice, Grant. That would be cool, to have enough money to be able to do just that.

Vatican City would be awesome, but I voted US, I don't think I'd change where I live if I could.

I voted Scotland because I am fairly happy up here freezing my ass off in July. I would not mind living in Sweden or Australia though.

I voted Scotland and other.

I would love to live in Scotland because it is a naturally beautiful place and is full of History.

And the Other would be Wales basically for the same reasons.

I didn't see Ireland or I would have put that.

That being said I still am extremely happy to live in the Historic City of Portsmouth.

It's on the list.. in alpha order. I will add a vote to Ireland, for you.

I know Ireland is on the list. What I meant was I vote first and saw Ireland after I voted and posted.

United States, all the way. I hardly want to visit another country. Mexico to party and all of Europe to laugh and have them admire my American coolness.

I would like to visit Japan though.

In a few weeks I'll be on vacation in a couple different countries, so I'll vote when I get back. If I were to vote right now my votes would be for Ireland, Scotland, England, and New Zealand.

I picked United States and Israel.

Israel would be a cool place to visit, but no way in hell I want to live there. Way too war-torn.

And they got some hard times ahead of them.

I think I'll stay in my Virginia Mountains.

Honestly, some of these countries listed are nuts. Vietnam? Who wants to live in Vietnam? Might as well put the North Pole or Atlantis.

I have to disagree with you there Heck, Vietnamis meant to be a really cool place to visit, it is already popular with backpackers and I think the Ozzies as well. In fact the whole Pacific rim region is opening up to tourism and being well recieved.

Well, I wanted to give a wide range to choose between... to give people a shot at picking something off the beaten path, so-to-speak.

I know, was just saying I couldn't imagine someone going, "you know, I feel like moving to Vietnam. Honey, grab the kids! We're going to Ho-Chi-Minh!"

Well, I'm sure that it's happened.

Then again, what about the Vietnam vets who married women from there?
Maybe they want to move back there... can't imagine it.... but, it COULD happen, right?

I voted for the U.S., then Spain or Scotland. My family lines come from Spain and on the other side Scotland. Ron would want to be somewhere that has soccer, so I have a feeling he would pick Scotland so he could still speak English.

I don't want to live anywhere but the USA. Canada is lovely though. I just came back from a visit to Vancouver. What a beautiful city and the Canadians are my favorites. They're so helpful, cheerful and pleasant. And they don't seem to hate Americans.

Scotland, Ireland, England, and New Zealand. Plus I loved most of what I saw of France, and Italy and Malta were wonderful. I wouldn't mind revisiting those last three, but I need to live somewhere where the majority speaks English.

That is a great idea... though, there are a few places (okay, so maybe more than a few) that I wouldn't live in... or even visit.
