| Queen Elizabeth II today held a show at Buckingham Pallace called "Children's Party at the Pallace" in celebration of her 80th birthday.
The Pallace grounds were open all day to an estimated 3000 visiters of the general public. The grounds were transformed into a childrens fantasy area with Winne the Pooh, Thomas the Tank Engine, Peter Pan, Paddington Bear and Rupert Bear being amung some of the childrens stories represented.
The day was highlight with a stage show in which some of Britains greatest childrens literiture characters and British actors were present.
Amung the actors were Nicholas Lindhurst (Rodney from 'only fools and horses), Ronnie Corbert, Antony Head and Martin Clunes. They were also joined by Jonathon Ross as 'Sir Top-en-hat' and Harry Hill as the Prime Ministers official Owl Carer.
The Stage show was brought to it's end by Harry Hill sending an Owl to Hogwarts to get help to find the Queens stolen Handbag. What followed was a setch which involved Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Harry Potter and Neville Longbottom ( All played by the Actors who play them in the movies).
Then end of this setch had Ron and Harry accio-ing a number of missing handbags. Ron put his hand in Neville's Grandmother's hand bag and got his fingures stuck in a mouse-trap.
Hermione came up with an Idea to send a spell that could be used by muggles back to the pallace and so the bag was found. | |
