Okay. So this is where I will post anything I hear on the new album. Here are some of the rumors so far.

*Slated to be out sometime in mid September 2006

*Is going to consist of covers and some originals

*Love songs is the theme

*Songs will be from the past 20 years.

*He is still in the studio putting the final touches on the album.

*One or two of the songs have been written by Contemporary Christian writers.

Well there ya go. If I hear anything new I will post the news here!

I would love to hear him sing love songs. His voice was made for ballads.

Can I just say that it REALLY bothers me when artists put out albums with covers?

You have a great voice... do you own stuff. You don't NEED to redo other songs.

I actually don't mind if there is one or two covers on an album. Mariah did some fantastic covers that were better than the originals.

I am really hoping that "I Will Be Here" is on the album. I cried when I heard him sing it. It is so beautiful.

More news!! Circut City has posters announcing artists slated to have thier albums out soon in thier stores. Clay Aiken is one of the names though no date is being released.

*However, 2 more rumored dates are circulating concerning Clay's album release date: [i]August 19, and September 19[i/]. August is becoming the more talked about date, though it may just be because we're so dang tired of waiting.

*Insider informants say they have heard a few songs off of the album and that the one's being considered for release as a single are going to blow everyone away.

Hurry up Aiken! TICK TOCK TICK TOCK!!!!

I am an 80's music FANATIC! So I have to say this. If Clay sings the song "Drive" by The Cars on this album I am going to officially squeal like a 12 year old girl! Dreaming I know but still....that or anything by Duran Duran. I would love for him to do some Duran!!!

((Sigh)) I guess I'll never know until he PUTS THE DANG ALBUM OUT!!!!!!!!!

More news from the oh-fishul Fan Club...

*Clay's album has been named (still secret on what it is though) so he's running a contest. He wants us to choose four letters to make up an acronym of what we think the album may be named. For example:

MOAM=Measure Of A Man
WDC=When Doves Cry
DLTSGDOM=Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me...

Get it?
He'll choose the winner by who is the most creative...remember...only four letters are allowed and the album is full of love songs.

*According to the latest information, the album will not release this summer. So September is looking as though it is the more likely release date.

Well, I'm still the only one posting so I'll just do this to keep myself amused.

*According to Clay's blogs, he has finished the photoshoot for the album. He loves the finished products and says they have a very romantic feel to them.

*Rumors everywhere are saying Sept. 19 is going to be the release date.

*Clay is happy with the songs he is putting on his album and says he is not only doing covers but putting some real "gems" on it too.

*Rumor is also circulating that the CD will be a dual disk. Whether or not it will be 2 CDs or a CD and a DVD is not known.

How long has it been since he last released an album?

Cover albums are cool, but the excitement doesn't last as long as new material, unfortunately

Measure of a Man was released 3 years ago. October of 2003. The album is supposed to be quite a few covers but he will have some new songs on it as well. I'm hoping that he releases one of his own songs as a single instead of a cover. I think it would do better that way.

I heard from the OFC that there is a list of all 14 songs on there. 1. Right Here Waiting / Richard Marx 2.When I See You Smile/ John Waite 3.Without You/ Badfinger and then Harry Nilsson 4. Lonely No More (New) Clay is listed as a writer on this one. 5. Sorry Seems To Be The Happiest Word / Elton John
6. Everytime You Go Away / Paul Young 7. Everything I Do I Do It For You / Bryan Adams. 8. I Want To Know What Love Is / Foreigner. 9. These Open Arms (New) / Jon Bon Jovi and Desmond Child. 10. Because You Loved Me / Celine Dion. 11. Here You Come Again / Dolly Parton. 12. Everything I Have (New)
13. A Thousand Days (New) and last but not least 14. Broken Wings / Mr. Mister

I find it very cool that there is quite a few Canadian singers listed there I love most of those songs other that the new ones that I haven't heard yet but I think Clay has the same taste in songs as me.

Now all that I have to do is wait for that cd to come out in Sept.

Take Care
Love

I personally cannot WAIT for the album. I am an 80s music FREAK and I love almost all the songs on the list. Not sure about Because You Loved Me but the rest...heck yeah. And "Lonely No More" (one of the new originals) was co-written by Clay and Jon Bon Jovi. Can't complain there

*Clay's official first release from the album "A Thousand Different Ways" will be...

"Without You" originally by Harry Nilsson, later covered by Mariah Carey.

I have the song and it is beau-tee-full!!!

Without You is on his Myspace profile. I liked how he started soft and didn't oversing it like Mariah. He is the one person who's voice is strong throughout his whole range.

I took off Madness on myspace and added "Without You" on my song list.

I am in LUST with that song. LUST I tell you! I have a myspace but can't figure out how to put a player and music and all that on it. I gave up after calling the computer 407 colorful names.
