| Posted by: HECK! | | Another comic book turned into a movie, Nicholas Cage plays Johnny Blaze, a.k.a. Ghost Rider.
Here's a trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oGjsPYLb9xU
Nick Cage likes the comics. He was signed on to play Superman about five or so years ago was given a $20 million pay or play contract. The studio eventually scrapped the whole project and paid Cage the money for doing nothing.
Not to mention Cage named his kid Kal-El, Superman's Kryptonian name. His stage name of Cage he got from Luke Cage, Hero For Hire, a.k.a Power Man.

| Posted by: HECK! | | I'll see it, but I don't know that we need Ghost Rider, not to mention Elektra, before a Captain America movie. If it's good, then that's cool, but we'll see. Too many turdy superhero movies out these days that get my hopes up only to tick me off. I'm looking at you, Hulk.

There are a TON of better comic characters to do a movie on, WAAAAAAAAAAY before this one.
And you're right, Heck... they should be doing a Captain America movie. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: HECK! | | The trailer for Ghost Rider is alright, never read the book back in the day so I can't really get geeked over it. I will probably see it, but can do with it or without it.

The cycle looked awesome on fire. But the story didn't sell me. | | Reply To this Message

If the movie sticks with the comic book background, which they f'n better, Cap is a World War 2 hero, fighting Nazi's and such. How can you hate that. Plus he brings that old school heroic vibe from the past, kind of an allegory into what we need now.
