Da Vinci "Prequel" to Hit Theaters
Hot off the almighty box-office performance of The Da Vinci Code, Sony has inked the film's scribe, Akiva Goldsman, to pen a screenplay based on author Dan Brown's first religious thriller, Angels & Demons. According to Variety, no deals are in place yet for either Tom Hanks (whose Professor Langdon character appears in both books) or director Ron Howard to return.

Actually, I haven't read this one either. I know it deals with the Illuminati. Will this cause a stir with the church as well?

Put it this way, someone will ALWAYS have a reason (be it good or lame) to protest for it. This movie, i think, will have more protestors than TDVC. popes dying and killing cardinals? come on. OF COURSE people are gonna get their knickers in a twist.
i, however, loved the book and can't wait to see the movie.
