Bird Flu : Should we care and prepare?

As concerned citizens for our families and friends, should we care about the possibility of Bird Flu impacting our daily lives enough to begin preparing for the worst?

Or is this another media scare who's over-the-top attitude is remniscient of SARS and Y2K?

Bird flu scares the hell out of me. My son is a severe asthmatic, so any type of respiratory illness is very frightening. I think we should be prepared for it.

Yes, we should be prepared... by all means. But, we also need people to be fully educated, so that we don't start a mass panic, everywhere.
