Okay, the previews for next week showed the 'others' in their disguises, again.... and it looked like we were finally going to see some action. It also looks like one of them is talking to Michael, after he's been captured. Was he captured though, or was is to make the group think that he was? And he was told that Walt was outside...

Oh, and then we see the group, on the beach, and Claire makes a comment like... "OMG" and it ends.

I think that this is going to be an important episode... and since there are only two weeks left for the season, I think that this, and the last, will be bang up eps.

Yeah, I saw that too. Maybe some kind of gigantic mirrow comes out of the island, or... who knows.

Aight, watched it in slow motion, and it looks like all the scenes where Mike is with the others, are probably flashback scenes of what happened to him while looking for his SON.

Some highlights:

1. Crazy *** Zeke with his ZZ Top beard, has a sling and slamo's Mike with it.

2. One of the others, injects Mike with something, most likely the same junk that Desmond was taking, and that they were putting into Claire.

3. The lady tells Mike that Walt is standing right outside the tent.

4. Sayid tells Jack that Mike has been comprimised. This would back into future events.

Shoot, maybe everyone else picked that up right away, but the way they did the preview, it looked like all the stuff happening to Mike was during the upcoming attack of Jack and crew. But they never show anyone else with the others, just Mike.

Also, I hate having to spell out Micheal every time, so I went with Mike. Easier on me.

My first thought was something wrong with the sun, then I thought that maybe the button don't get pressed and whatever happens is so intense, it lights up the Island. Our Electromagnetic Incident in action.

I totally agree with you Lawless. I was gonna start another thread but I thought I should just leave my comment here.

As a huge fan of LOST from the beginning, I am getting disappointed with where the story lines are going. It seems the producers and writers are now focusing less on the storyline (juicy plots and cliffhangers) and are more into turning this hit show into a game for viewers. Well too much info and not enough info is getting me more frustrated with each new episode.

I liked that we are now getting closer to the finale and the ultimate cliffhanger, but I'm beginning to doubt that most of our questions will be answered anytime soon .

Each episode seems to add more mystery on top of the mystery of the island. The fake websites, the tie-in books, the clues, the numbers, the flashbacks, dreams, reality etc. etc. This is all gonna me a patient in some psyche ward soon if I try to keep up with all the marketing, propaganda and everything they are throwing at us!

I'm just gonna watch it now with an open mind and hope that the answers satisfy me in the end. I've given up trying to unlock the mysteries of this show.

Slowly going.... trying to sort it out.

Well, most successful shows go a good five years, some seven years.

I don't know the plan, or the story arc they have, but I would bet it's based on something in the five year range. So, they will keep asking big questions, and slowly answer them, but there will always be bigger questions, more side characters coming and going, more mystery, till they finally wrap it up.

They did this with Twin Peaks, then by the time they gave some answers, no one cared anymore. But Lost is keeping viewers into the second season.

I treat Lost like I treat Star Trek, even bad star trek is still better than nothing. I just enjoy watching it, even if it's on a character I don't really care for, like Shannon or Claire.

I think my favorite character right now, is MR. Ekko. Followed by Locke, then Desmond. Then Sawyer, then Sun, then Kate, then Hurley and so on.

I'm not giving up on Lost. Come on... when you're reading a good book, do you really want all of the answers before it's time? It's part of a MYSTERY! Sure, it's nice finding things out... but, I love watching it all unravel, and learning more and more. I'm not giving up on this show, as I've heard some of my friends state. One of them said that if they don't give more answers, she's going to stop. Another said, if they kill off Sayid, she's going to stop. I'm not leaving behind one of the best shows ever.

Whatever happened to Desmond... was he captured by the others? Killed? Did he go nuts and try to swim off the island? Did a Dharma shark eat him?

"Truman Show" plus "Total Recall" divided by "Giligan's Island" = LOST.

Well of course. Every little thing that's happening could be happening for a reason. I haven't ruled anything out. I'm just taking jabs at what happened to his character. We haven't seen it in quite awhile. And if he's not coming back to the show I'd like to know what his character was supposed to be.

I would like to know that too, and I believe that we've mentioned him, more than a couple times. I guess that it's just another thing that they want to keep us waiting on, and guessing about.

I rewatched last weeks episode, yesterday, because my mom hadn't seen it. And when this weeks previews came on, I was watching it all, and I'm with Dave... all the shots with the others, and Micheal, look like they are a flashback. Not once do we see anyone else with the group, over there.

Also, when they show the group on the beach, and they look stunned, and Claire says, "Oh my god!" Well, I was wondering.... what if it was Walt, and he comes back? I thought that we were told, in one of the LOST magazines that we would see him back, this season. So, that was my thought.

I've just watched episode 21 (i'm keeping up with you guys through downloads...no way am I waiting another 4 months to see all this!) and this is all getting pretty confusing...I mean, what the heck is going on with this island?

Anywho, I hope something with Walt happens in 22, because he's been out of it for far too long! I want my storylines!

I think that Walt has been gone WAY too long as well. Something is wrong.

I'm not completely giving up on LOST. I just would prefer that the storylines and mysteries don't linger on. I stated that just deciphering the clues to the mysteries was taxing my brain. In other words....I'm not going to those websites to decipher clues, or try to second guess what is really going on. Too much information is driving me crazy, especially when it's all speculative.

I know it makes for good tv but I'm just gonna take it as I see it. Nothing wrong with that is there?

My friends and family are studying hard to come up with the answers to all the clues ie: the numbers, the hatch, the book, the symbolism etc. I've just grown tired of all that.

Who is an other? Who is not an other? Yada-yada...

It's still a good show but I want answers DAMMIT! I want an ANSWER to at least ONE or TWO of the main mysteries. Guess I'm gonna have to wait til......???

Well, I think when we have tons of thoughts about a person, show, music, or anything, it enters our dreams. We become obsessed on something, and our minds just can't let it go!

SPOILERS.

This was a VERY good episode Answered quite a few things, and opened up others.

Alright. Flashback - then Michael is outside of the hatch, and is holding a slip of pink paper. He burns it, and Jack comes out and talks to him.

Sawyer, Michael, Jack, Hurley and Kate are in the hatch - taking inventory of the guns. Michael still wants to leave to see Walt, but the others tell him there's no time. Michael demands that he is a father and none of them understand, but Hurley interrupts.

"Libby's dead and they're not buried blah blah blah."

They decide that burying the dead is important for the time being. Michael is not pleased at all - he looks pretty damn murderous.

Opening title! LOST!! Typical whoooooshy/tunnel noises. Cue commercial break, and all that jazz.

THIRTEEN DAYS AGO, says the subtitle. Michael is running through the forests with a gun over one shoulder. He stops, pulls out a compass and checks his direction. Running for a bit, he sees a man. He pulls the gun up to the man, and the man says "Hey."

They snap, and the man says, "You're Walt's old man?"

A HERD OF OTHERS SWARM HIM. They attack him, are about to shoot him, but the old man calls, "Wait, no!" and they stop. Knocking him out, they put a burlap bag over his head.

CUT again! We're back to the hatch - Michael is talking to Mr. Eko, and asks about finding the hatch. The one that Locke and Eko found, evidently. Michael asks if Eko was a priest, and Eko starts explaining things.

Apparently, every day, there was a little boy at the back of his church, and one day, he finally came to confession. He confessed that he beat his dog to death with a shovel, because the dog had bitten his baby sister on the cheek... the boy wondered if he would go to hell or heaven. Eko told the boy that he would go to heaven if he was truly sorry, because God would forgive him, but the boy was scared that if he went to hell, the dog would be waiting for him.

Cut again! I'm sick and tired of these time transitions. Michael is in the forest, seeming to puke his guts out. Jack walks up and asks if he's alright.

"I have to get my son back."

"We'll help you get him back."

Jack and Michael keep talking, and Michael explains about how only four people - in total, the five people in the hatch scene earlier - were allowed to go with him. That was how it had to be. There was no other way. Michael insists that he understands this. Jack is reluctant, but agrees.

CLAIRE AND BABY AND CHARLIE.

Claire is a bit cool, but Charlie is friendly. Charlie asks where Eko is, and mentions the terrace. Claire doesn't know where Eko is, and wants to know what he wants - Charlie says he has something for her that he found. It turns out to be vaccine, with a pneumatic injector. Claire is interested - Charlie shows her how to use the injector, and she's confused as to why he tried it. He says that he didn't want her to try it on herself or the baby first, and he wanted to see if it was okay.

"Thank you," Claire says. She doesn't seem to be really comfortable with Charlie, at all. She's really pretty

"You're welcome," Charlie says.

"I should really go," Claire starts, but Charlie cuts her off, seeming sort of desperate. Aww, he's really adorable. I really hope they can clean up their relationship.

"Uh, Claire... do you think you and I could...."

Now she cuts him off, so that the poor fans are left to surmise what he was going to ask. A date? To marry him?" Who knows.

"Oh my god!! Michael's there!"

Sun is on the beach - she sees Michael, too. Everyone gets up to see him. Jun runs over and hugs him, starts babbling, and finishes with "Okay?"

Michael says, "Yeah, you too."

Sun asks how he is - they turn around and see Kate digging graves, and asks what happened (I assume).

"Who?" she asks, and they tell her who it was. Sun asks what happened, and Michael replies, after hesitating, "They were murdered."

Commercial break. There are gnomes.

THIRTEEN DAYS AGO, again. Michael is awake, at a fire - the man is there, says hello. Michael spits on him, and the man says, "I won't hold it against you" and talks about he took his boy and for Michael not to do it again. Kate is there, too, with a bag over her head. Michael is told not to make a sound and is gagged. The camera pans around the campfire - there's a girl there they focus on for a bit. I bet she's important.

Sawyer, Locke and Jack are farther back. The scenes from the previous episode come on, etc etc. Michael, in back, is standing with the girl I just mentioned. GO ME! She tells him, "Shh. He's just delivering a message. He has to use violence to scare him away."

Zeke calls for Kate to be brought to the men - the girl begs with a blonde guy for a minute about Kate. Kate goes. The girl continues to Michael, "Is Claire okay? Did she have the baby? Is it a boy or girl?"

Zeke says the boys have gone home, and approaches the girl. The girl says, "Sorry" and is smacked across the face with a gun. Knocked out.

Michael is sitting on the beach with Vincent. Jack is packing guns, and Sawyer is drinking Irish booze - and talks about drinking for death and such. He mentions Freckles to Jack and Jack says, "you're caught in a net".

Sawyer doesn't understand. Jack doesn't elaborate.

Sayid is back - he asks if Henry is gone. He asks what they're doing, and Sawyer snaps that it's none of his business. Sayid wants to go along - Sawyer says no. Jack says no, it's Michael's call. Sayid insists that it is THEIR call, not his.

Back in the hatch, Eko is walking around. Camera pans across his chest, and... his cross is levitating? Magnetic fields or something.... beep, beep, beep! He goes to the computer and enters the numbers.

He turns, and there is Charlie.

"So you run off into the night with your Jesus stick, and you don't call, you don't write..."

Eko apologizes, and asks for Charlie to move his things from the beach to the hatch. Charlie is confused, because they were going to build a church. What about that, he asks? Eko doesn't care. Charlie wants to know what he's going to do - Eko says to bring his things.

Charlie says Eko can bring his own things. He's got time. Camera shot at time - 1:08.

Sawyer. Talking to Michael - mentioned he was talking to Sayid about it, and Michael is pissed. Sawyer figures the one guy who's been in a war should know about their war, and Michael shuts up after some snarky comments. When Sawyer looks away, Michael gives him his murderous, murderous, EVIL look. Oh, Michael, why don't I trust you?

Commercial break! I figure we're halfway through - it's 7:30 E.S.T now.

ELEVEN DAYS AGO. Finally, variation. Michael wants the others to get off of him - they won't. They lead him to a village of canvas tents and buildings. Everything has the Dharma logo on it, and everyone has guns. It's a whole village - I cannot stress how civilized it is, for an island like this.

Blond is taking some blood from Michael - Michael is not happy. There is a black woman named Miss Clue, coming up to him, who wants Michael to answer questions. She asks if Walt is Michael biological son, how old he was when he started speaking, if he had illnesses as a child. Michael admits he didn't know.

"Did Walt ever appear in a place he wasn't supposed to be?"

Michael demands to see Walt. Miss Clue says that "for someone who wants Walt back so badly, you don't see to know much about him, Michael."

She walks away. Michael is stunned.

Back to the present. Michael approaches Sayid and tells him he cannot come - Sayid welcomes him back. Sayid asks why he can't go - Michael says that Sayid wants revenge, and he wants his son.

That's the lamest excuse ever, considering how Sayid doesn't want revenge, apparently.

Michael has to do this his way, no matter what. Sayid says "good luck, Michael." Michael thanks him and leaves. Sayid is pretty.

Charlie is making a church. He drops a branch and swears, and finds.... oh! A little Mary! He looks up and see Vincent, who picks it up and tosses it around. Charlie is mad. Did someone put him up to it?!

He runs after Vincent, who is in Sawyer's tent, nosing around... and that, my friends, is how Charlie got the drugs. Again. AGAIN.

But... he takes them all and starts pitching them into the ocean. He is very depressed. He picks up the last one and stares at it mournfully, and then stares at the water. He chucks it.

Locke is watching him, and when Charlie looks over, he smiles and looks away.

Jack is in the hatch - he asks Eko what happened and where he was. Eko says they couldn't find the trail, and Jack asks where Locke was. Eko is all blah... Jack informs him that the funeral is at sunset, and Eko says, "Thank you. I will mourn them in my own way."

I like that guy.

Sawyer talks to Jack. He wants to know who's talking about them - Jack doesn't want to talk about Libby. Sawyer talks about Ana... and says, "I screwed her. That's how she got my gun. And, uh... she jumped me. We got caught in a net."

Oh, you bastard ;-;

"Why are you telling me this, Sawyer?"

Yeah, Sawyer. WHY.

He makes this gorgeous comment I just totally cannot spoil, because it's just THAT gorgeous.

And then he picks up the gun, pumps it, and says, "And now I get to kill someone."

You know, I don't like Ana-Lucia, and I hate Sawyer/Ana-L more, but.... that bit me, too. Ow. Sweetheart <3 Sawyer <3 Awwww.

Commercial break. We're at 7:40 E.S.T. now. Pretty.

Kate and Hurley are still digging graves. Michael stares at them. Hurley looks horribly upset... so Michael asks Kate if she knows the plan. Kate is very apathetic right now. Hurley says, "Why would I want to go?"

Michael says it's because they killed her. Her being Libby. Kate says, "Michael!"

Hurley is sorry about Walt, but he isn't going. Kate stops Michael before he gets snappy.

AAAND WE'RE BACK TO CANVAS VILLAGE. Michael is in a hut. He's tied. Miss Clue comes in, and she says, "Dinnertime."

Michael asks when they're going to kill him. Clue looks confused - Michael says he knows where they are and what's happening. He doesn't think Walt is alive.

Clue tells him that Walt is outside the tent. He doesn't believe her. She talks about how Henry - "one of ours" is taken - and they can't get him back. If Michael gets Henry back, then the others will let father + son free.

Michael DEMANDS BY SCREAMING that Walt be shown to him - Clue calls something, and says that he has three minutes. Walt comes in! Michael starts freaking out and Walt calms him, telling him to relax.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah."

"Did they hurt you?"

"They made me take tests." Yeah, I hate exams too. They really do hurt, Walt. I feel your pain.

"We're not going to talk about that," Clue interjects, and Walt changes the subject.

"How's Vincent?"

"He's great, he's great. He misses you. Don't be scared," Michael insists and Walt hesitates. There is a lot of screaming after this part, in the show, and it's hard to type all that at once, so I'll narrow it down.

"They're not who they say they are," Walt says.

"Be quiet, I'll put you in the room!" Clue says. Probably with tests.

"No! Dad, don't let them take you!" Walt says.

"NO NO DON'T TAKE HIM!"

"NO NO NO!"

"DAD I LOVE YOU!"

"I LOVE YOU TOO WALT!"

"PUT ME DOWN PUT ME DOWN!!!!!"

Michael cries as they drag Walt from the room. Clue tells him that once Michael releases "their man", he has to do one other thing. Michael says that he'll do anything.

Clue tells him that he has to bring four people back with him - exactly those people. No more, no less. If he doesn't, they'll never see Walt again. Can you imagine who these people are? OH GEE I BET YOU CAN'T

He's given the list. He asks who James Ford is. He's told that that is Sawyer - and Clue tells him that he knows all the people on the list. She goes over it again - if Michael gets them back, they both go free.

Michael wants a boat, too!

COMMERCIAL BREAK. 7:50.

Funeral. Overhead of all walking to the beach. There are lots of pretty willowy trees. Everyone is together, and emo. Sawyer looks annoyed/sad. It's okay, baby, you still have Kate, and she's prettier.

Locke joins them, and walks without his crutches or his splint. Hello magic island.

Sayid and Jack are yapping away about daddies and cemeteries and what to say. Jack has no idea what to say - Sayid thinks Michael has been compromised. Jack doesn't understand. Sayid says that a father would do anything for his son, and that there are things to do.

Jack says they should talk to him. Sayid says they should make him think he's in control - to create an advantage. I love that guy, oh my god, he's so awesome.

Jack is talking.

"Ana Lucia Cortez..." blah, blah, lots of stuff about her. Apparently she did the best she could, despite hating living on the island. She could have tried harder to be nice. "She was of few words, so I'm taking her example."

Hurley's turn now.

"Libby was... she was.... she... LIBBY WAS A PSYCHOLOGIST. Or... psychiatrist. One of those. Either way, she probably helped a lot of people. She helped me. She was my friend! It's not fair that this happened to her, it's not!"

He looks at Michael, says, "I'm going with you."

And to the grave, he says, "Goodbye, babe." Or "Goodbye Libby". He's crying a bit, it's hard to understand.

Emo music, emo camera angles, etc. Very pretty.

"BOAT" Sun screams, "BOAT!"

EVERYONE TURNS.

Lo and behold, there is a sailboat! A SAILBOAT!!! OH MY GOD A TINY SAILBOAT GUYS, WE'RE RESCUED GUYS.

Overall?

Liked it. Yup.

The girl with Zeke was Alex, crazy french ladies kid. She asked about Claire and the baby. She was the one in the medical hatch that helped Claire escape.

I bet money the boat is Desmond's, from his race around the world, and that he is in it. hasn't been able to leave the Island.

I bet it always brings you back.

Yeah, when I saw the girl, who was keeping Michael quiet, I thought that it was Alex too. She was the right age, and just doesn't really act like one of them.

The boat. I wonder if it's Desmond's, and that's why we were told we would see him again, this season, and get this back story. That would be something if it keeps returning itself to the island. Strange. Or, is it the boat that the others are going to be giving to Michael? Just wondering.

I about broke into tears during the scene where Sawyer and Jack are talking, as they are preparing the guns. When Jack asks Sawyer why he's telling him about it (Sawyer and Ana Lucia having sex, etc...) and Sawyer looks up at him and says, very sincerely: "Because you're the closest thing that I have to a friend, Doc... and because she's dead."

Libby and Ana Lucia's death really hit Sawyer, and has shown a much more compassionate side. I really liked him at the end of last week, when he was holding Kate, while she cried... and then, all of last nights ep.

I'm really looking forward to the season finale. We're going to get answers about certain things (or are we?)

Or, if he is in the boat, wouldn't they want us to think that he's NOT an other? What if it's all a ploy? They haven't been honest, from the start.

When Walt said to his dad... "They aren't what they appear to be." I wonder if he's talking about how they really aren't all nasty looking, with torn clothes, etc... Like, could Walt know the truth?

BTW... I've been ticked with Michael since he shot Ana Lucia, Libby, and himself, and let "Henry" go. But, after seeing last nights ep, I have to say that having my child run into my arms, and cry to not leave me, and get me away from them... well, I would have done the same thing. That's his flesh and blood... and he's going to do whatever it takes to get his child. Yes, in a sense, like Sayid said, he's been compromised... but, there was a reason. Too bad that he couldn't have just told them that. But, what if they have cameras watching all the hatches, plus, who knows where else? He would possibly lose his chance of ever seeing his son again.

In theory, I would go back to camp and tell everyone the situation, have faith in my friends to help me out with the mess I was in.

I doubt I would start shooting and killing them.

What's pathetic, is he saw the Mrs. Clue chick was a liar, when she was talking to Walt and said she would put him back in the room, and even Walt told him they were lying or decieving.

For Mike to believe that they will give him a boat and his son, is just stupid on his part.

yeah, I'd head back to camp, spill the beans, confide to the main group what happened, see what they want to do, and whatever they did or did not do, I would head back out with some guns again and kick some *** in the others shanty town.

Notice that, though Ms. Clue told Michael to make sure that he brought all the people on the list back with him, she never said that he had to kill anybody. That was all Michael's idea. It also means that, though he may have shot Libby as a reflex when she startled him, he was planning on killing her at some point anyway. The ONLY reason that Hurley would go after the Others was if he wanted revenge.

I pity Michael, but he could have found another way besides murder if he had given it enough thought. What he did was inexcusable

Mr. Eko is SO COOL. He knows that something's up, or he wouldn't have said what he said. It chilled Michael that maybe Ana Lucia and Libby will be waiting for him in Hell. I am still a Charlie and Sayid fan, but now Mr. Eko is my favorite character

Don't forget about the cross-dressing party animal Mercutio from Baz Luhrman's "Romeo & Juliet".

He was amazing in that movie.

It also means that, though he may have shot Libby as a reflex when she startled him, he was planning on killing her at some point anyway. The ONLY reason that Hurley would go after the Others was if he wanted revenge.

Michael didn't know that there was ANYTHING between Libby and Hurley. He's been gone, most of the time, since the tail end survivors joined the group. So, HOW would he know that killing Libby would bring Hurley with him?

I'm suprised I'm the first to mention this...

Walt muttered something really quickly when he was holding onto his father. It was ard to understand, and I haven't been able to view it a second time yet, but it sound to me like he said "They're Aliens."

Did anyone 'hear' this as well?

if these people are aliens, that'll be the end of this show for me.

I would be disgusted with it all too, and would probably stop watching.

I watched it with the caption on, didn't see anything about Aliens.

Captions could have missed it...

Right when Walt hugs Michael he exhales and mutters something... I've watched it over and over again, and my mind is set on the sentance "They're Aliens."

What is the first thing he says to Michael according to the captions? Maybe I'm just hearing it wrong.

I rewatched it, and I never heard 'em say "Their aliens!"

But, I'm telling you, Lost will lose me, as a watcher, if that's what this turns out to be.

http://www.lost-tv.com/transcripts/season2.htmlThis site does transcripts of the episodes. They are all caught up, cept for this last episode. They should have one up soon.

I just watched it and when he hugs his dad, he does say something the caption misses,

"dad....something something".

sayzak put it in my head about Aliens, so that's what I hear now. But it's all garbled, it's hard to tell what he says.

the caption skips this part, and goes to the next sentence.

The caption people watch the show and transcribe it as they hear it, they don't get a script, so they probably skipped that part as they couldn't make it out either.

Hopefully the guy that does that website will have it right.

I mean, if sites can tell us line for line what the whispers are saying, then they can figure out what Walt said.

I did like that story that Ecko told Michael about the boy who killed the dog. He wasn't sorry he killed the dog, he was just afraid the dog would be in hell waiting for him when he got there. I think Michael deserved that.
Of course Ana-Lucia was special to Ecko.
I am not liking Jack as much as I used to. Sawyer definitely gained some points with me this episode.
Michael
Looks like in the preview Kate gets shot.
I am looking forward to seeing Desmond again.
I think that is a good theory that Desmond has been trying to leave on his boat and the island won't let him. That would be cool.
