American Idol: Season 5 Forum

Who will be going tonight? We are going down to the top 4 after tonight's show.

They are saying that the bottom three (B3) could be any of the four, (Paris and Katharine in the bottom two) with Taylor being completely safe, and Paris with the lowest 'score'

Can I just say that I PICKED THE FINAL FOUR, weeks ago!!!

Damn, I can't believe it! The four people I wanted to see in the final four, made it. wOOt

I pretty much guessed the Elliot, Paris bottom two this week...and of course, this was based on the previous weeks.

Well...Elvis it is....

Might I say that next week is gonna be hell? It is.

I am torn on who I thought should have left tonight...obviously dialidol got it wrong...and not once will I ever believe that Taylor has higher votes than Chris..

Taylor is okay...but his vocals compare nothing to Chris. Personally, if Taylor does win...he will be another Ruben. In the limelight for a while, but then he will blend back into society without someone glancing back twice at him.

Dont get me wrong...he's okay...but he really reminds me more of a lounge singer...an American idol, he will never be...he wont even come close to a Kelly Clarkson, or Clay Aiken for that matter.

I don't know how I'm going to get through next week either. I just got off the phone with Sherry, and she feels the same.

I don't agree that Taylor will amount to nothing. He is a different style than Chris, and Tay has A LOT of fans. So, I don't think that it's fair to say that he will just fizz out. We shall see, in the end though.

I was off by one, I didn't pick Elliott because he was never a huge feature.

But I think the last five people will have work, so it won't matter. As for previous contestants, I would say everyone after the second season has been bland. I know Kelly Clarkson is doing well in mainstream and Ruben is doing gospel, which just means like Carrie, we'll never hear from them, but they'll be very succesful in their niche markets.

Well....I think that the judges want peple to win who WILL be in the mainstream, like Clarkson...

So far, bersides Clay Aiken, who decided to get out of the business, no one really is in the mainstream. Underwood would probably be the next after Kelly Clarkson, since Clay...

But so far, I have yet to see anyone compare to what Kelly Clarkson has done.

Im pretty sure that they do not want a gospel singer, a country singer, a jazz artist, etc...they are looking for another Clarkson, and IMO (not to piss people off...this is MY opinion)...Katharine, and Chris are the only ones left who might come close to what they want.

Ohhhhhhhhhhh, okay! VERY true. Because I have absolutely no interest in listening to either Ruben, or Fantasia... or their particular style of music. So, I see your point. Thanks!

Yes, Vegas does have bets on AI. Hell, they have bets on everything.
If there is a chance that Vegas can make a dollar, then it's there.
They have bets for shows, all the time.... Survivor, Big Brother, etc...


I think that no matter who goes next, it's just their time. We're in the final four. They've made it this far for a reason. If Katharine goes next, I will be sad... but, I won't be devestated. If Chris goes next, I will be heart broken, but I won't think that it's because it's rigged.

Yeah, I don't see how Elliott could get much farther, despite this far.

Unless he's really the Elliott from ET and there are aliens helping the voting process.

I think that it is uncertain who will go next. It depends on who does a better job on this coming Elvis theme week. Kat or Elliott could go. I don't see Taylor or Chris going anywhere.

I don't see Chris or Taylor leaving.... but, you just never, ever know.
Kat and Elliott have been down there, in the bottom spots, a lot more.
Chris has been there once. Taylor hasn't ever... has he? I can't remember.

Taylor has never been in the bottom two. I really think it will be Taylor and Chris.

Or Shannon. They will both be looking at us like we're nuts. You realize that, don't you?
