Apparently, Taylor's father confirmed this, on their local fox station. Don't know if it's true... since I haven't heard it from Ryan Seacrest... but, next weeks theme is supposed to be Elvis!

I'm NOT looking forward to this, at all.

Please tell me this isnt true.

A nightmare I tell you...a complete nightmare. I can only hope that it is just not true.

Overall....the themes this year have been crap.

From my understanding, it's been something they have had out there for a couple weeks. I am just SICKENED by this thought. WHY WHY WHY do we have to have an Elvis night? Are they TRYING to get us to hate the contestants?

*sigh* You know, season one is something that I really miss. It was so raw... so fresh... and it wasn't complicated like it is now. I LONG for those days.

I hate Elvis. It will be one hour of hell for me.

Wow! So many Elvis haters. Is it because you don't like his songs or don't think the contestants can do any of his songs justice?

I think it will be a great night! From day one I have thought Taylor sounds like Elvis when he talks - I hope he can sing like him. A couple of Elvis-recorded songs I would like to hear are "In the Ghetto" (I'm not sure that's the right name of it) and "Peace in the Valley" which is a religious song, and because of that it might be the kiss of death for anyone who would sing it.

I actually think the remaining four will do well with his songs if, and this is a big IF (and it doesn't apply to Taylor because I want him to sound like Evlis) they DON'T try to sound like Elvis at all, but do the songs their own way. I don't like Chris or Elliott but think they could sound wonderful if they pick the right song, and do it their way. Even Katherine might surprise us!

I think you can tell I want Taylor to win.

I just never liked Elvis. Too cheesy IMO, but Taylor will do very well with the songs.

Rumor Taylor may be singing Blue Suede Shoes and In The Ghetto.

Maybe it is just all the impersonator's that turned me off to Elvis.

NOTE: Kris does not hate Taylor, she just doesn't like Elvis.

"In The Ghetto" was a dope song. If Cartman can rock it, then that Taylor guy can.

Now I can deal with Cartman doing an Elvis, simply because it's Cartman, and South Park!!!

how can they ask the contestants to sing elvis songs? no one should change the way an elvis song is sung.... except cartman.

No one should have to LISTEN to an Elvis song, period.

That just tears it. No one bashes the King. No-body. The Memphis Mafia has been alerted, please stay put and we will sort everyone out one way or the other.

I, too, think Taylor and Chris will out shine Elliott and Katherine on Tuesday. I'd like someone to sing Can't Help Falling in Love and Kentucky Rain. I never liked the song Blue Suede Shoes or Burning Love. I'd guess I'd pick any song that Elvis didn't sing in a movie, for the contestants. His movie songs were pretty cheesey - but I still think he sounded wonderful when he was singing normal songs, especially ballads.

I think the whole shootin match will come down to Taylor and Chris.

I mean... the guy couldn't act, and they (the producers) all knew it. So, they had him sing a lot of his lines. It was like someone would ask him a question, and he would reply in song:

Some actor: Hey Elvis, you want a glass of lemonade?

Elvis: *singing* Lemonade... that cool refreshing drink!

He didn't even answer the question!!!!

It was from a comedy routine! I've always remembered it, and cracked up.

I'm gearing myself up for tonight... will probably have to skip dinner, just to get through AI. But, I won't miss it. Don't know that I will have the most pleasant of reviews on the show... but, I will still do one.

Should I wear a hawaiian shirt during the show? Some something blue, and suede? Grease my hair back? Do that funky leg dance thing that he did?

I hope that Taylor doesn't do the Elvis "The Pelvis" move on stage. I don't think that I will be able to contain myself if he does, and then, Sherry might have to kick my ass for saying something bad about him.

And please, don't let the "lip" be used... esp by Chris, or I'm going to cry.

Damn.... it's still 15 hours until the show, and I'm already worked up about this.

I hope Dubya's Homeland Army is listening to this so you can be all arrested for bad mouthing the King.

I don't care HOW many records "The King" has sold. That doesn't mean that -I- personally have to like him, his music, his movies, or anything else. Sorry, but there are VERY FEW songs of Elvis' that I've ever liked.

I refuse... ain't happening. Look, I work with the HUGEST Elvis fan that I've ever met, and she understands that Elvis just isn't my thing. So

I am no Elvis freak-o. Don't even own one of his albums. I just got respect for The King. His movies do suck though.
