Uh, he broke the law by getting drugs when he wasn't sick. I was on some of those drugs for the back surgery's I had and I can tell you, I would do the same thing if I could get away with it.


But I didn't want to get busted and go to jail. Maybe he is rich and thinks he is above all that, I don't know.


I wouldn't put him in jail, but I would give him probation, or comm service or some other slap on the wrist. It was prescription meds, not cocaine or heroin.


So, no street dealers or airplanes, or drug agents were killed to get him his drugs.

I voted for rehab. I think he needs to get clean, and then do some community service.

Yes he should go to jail.

As much as I feel he is a hypocrite and blow hard I don't feel jail is the solution unless he violates the terms of his deal.

That's fair, Marshall, I have to agree with you. Despite one's own personal politics, if he continues be law abiding then there isn't much you can do. Good thing there is no 'morality courty'.

I remind you all that he pleaded not guilty and they dropped the charge. Why should he go to jail? He has been in treatment for over a couple years, and continues with it today. Of course if you get your news from ABC, I can understand how you could be misinformed.

Did Rush Limbaugh ever go before a judge, I never saw anything about him going before a judge and pleading not guilty.

I don't know if he went before a judge. It was basically a deal with the prosecutor to drop the charge if Limbaugh stays clean on routine drug tests and completes treatment.

Therefore his "not guilty" plea is irrelevant just thrown out to the media since it's only relevant when you stand before the judge and say it. It seems that everyone ate that up.

Actually the charge isn't dismissed, it will be dismissed after he completes rehab, it's part of the deal, so the charge is still hanging in the air. However, I'm sure he'll be able to beat this addiction, so all power to him...hypocrite and all.

I think Rush Limbaugh should go to jail just for being Rush Limbaugh. Never mind the drugs. Being Rush Limbaugh is offensive enough.

No, not for viagra, that's pretty ridiculous. He broke the law, so there should be some penalty, fine/probation, or the like, but jail is totally over the top and the punishment would not fit the crime here.

I caught Rush Limbaugh in a big lie yesterday. He was ranting that Jody Applegate (a newscaster for one of the networks, can;t remember which one) was running a class on how to steal a bike on her news show. He was incensed over this as we all know Rush is incensed over everything. She was not teaching a class on how to steal a bike. She did a segment giving pointers on how to keep your bike safe from thieves. She was showing a tool that bike thieves use and how it cuts through certain thicknesses of metal cable. Rush out and out lied. He put a totally untrue spin on a story to make it more horrific. Jody must be a member of the "drive-by media." and a liberal Democrat.
