Do you believe in immunizations? |
| Posted by: gaboman | | I went with some are good. Especially as a child, immunizations are important. Unfortunately, from what I've been told, there are a lot out there that doctors just try to give you 'cause they get some cheddar from it. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: Pippin | | I said some are good. I agree with Gabo, plus a kid who plays in the dirt and is exposed to diseases when he's a youngin' is healthier than a kid who gets a shot for everything. Some things need immunizations, though. Like smallpox a generation ago. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: Inner City Blues | | I think vaccination is good, but I've never gotten the flu, so I've never gotten a vaccine for it, not saying that I believe I need to get a disease before getting a vaccine, but I fare well during flu season. Perhaps later in life. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: lodgebo | | I have had a few vaccines in my time for diffrent things and with exception of one everything went fine. Mind you there have been a dew problems in the UK where parents are refusing the triple MMR vaccine because some tests have shown that it can cause Cerbal Palsy or cystic fibrosis or something in later life. Those with cash have paid for the seperate jabs but those who cannot afford that are just not risking it. | | Reply To this Message

That's weird. Never heard of that before. If that's the case, it wouldn't matter if you got all 3 at once as the MMR or seperate becaue your looking at the same thing , just different amount of needles... less its something that occurs when they are combined within the same vial.

| Posted by: lodgebo | | Well I am not a doctor or nothing but I thinkn it has something to do with getting them all in a single dose wheras with the seperate jabs you get Rubella jab one week wait a fortnight and get the measles jab and then wit a fortnight and get your mumps jab.
The thing is that the reports on the MMR single vaccine are mixed some say there is a problem others say not and as a result parents get confused and don't know what to do for the best. | | Reply To this Message

Probably some reaction from the 3 being placed together in one solution and chemically bonding together if that's the case.
damn, i had to get another MMR because I couldn't find my 2 nd dose record.
