If Gray Boy is smart he will pick Can't Help Falling In Love. Elvis is the man.

The Pickle should pick Love Will Keep Us Together, but she would probably wonder who 'Captain Tennille' is. She'll assume he is a submarine commander.

I think that they need to fire a lot of people on staff for AI.
A lot of times the theme's are horrid, or the song choices are too sucky.
And then there are the costume person, and the make-up person.
Okay, and let's not get started on the judges.

I am mad that there are NO Brian McKnight songs there. Now know that they may get other songs approved if they can get the artist to clear them. Taylor is a fan of Brian, so I am hoping for him to do one of his like "home" or "back at one" or "crazy love"

Ah man, Purple Rain! YEAH!

If I hear You're Still the One or Unchained Melody I am going to go ape. If there aren't two more overplayed songs I will smack my own face silly.

Can you not see Kellie picking that Shania song though... since it's a "country" song, and then, butchering it?

You're right though, Sher... Kellie on Madonna's, "Cherish" does have her name all over it.

And I'm sorry for picking YOUR song, with Ron, for Chris to sing. But hey, I have the right to pick to

And WHY is Whitney Houston on that list? We don't need some doped up, burnt out, crack whore, listed on there.

Reply To this Message

The list is from Entertainment Weekly. Em is usually right about where they pull the songs from. THey can request other songs and get them if the artist approves.

Taylor did a great job when he sang Levon. Bob, are there any Elton love songs you think he could do?

I can't believe that they didn't include some of the artists named off. What a cheesy ass move. Maybe the contestants will request some songs not on that list, and get them approved.

NO WAY! Chicago is an amazing band, with great instrumentals behind them!!

I remember seeing Chicago in concert when I was in jr high, and I absolutely loved them, and was blown away by what kind of show they put on.

Love Will Keep Us Together by Captain and Tennille??? Is this a joke or something?????

If they are going to go back to these horrendous songs...why not sink even lower and sing Muskrat Love?

What is this world coming to by allowing this crap in this competition?

BTW...whoever brought up Chicago....GREAT idea!

Well, well, well...

"Love Bites" by Def Leppard. Now, the Lep has been my fav band since 1981, but I just don't think that this is a song that I can see being done. It's not a love song... but a song about broken love. Don't think that anyone should do it... but, if it is, it should be performed by Chris.

Noticed a couple Journey songs in that list. Oi... think that would be a bad choice, because of Randy?

Now I think that Elliott could do a Journey song and have the dawg be happy.

Hey Bob, Frank was cool. He had the duets CD come out just before he died, so I think that's why he's on the list, but yes it does seem out of place.

They had a guy on named Patrick Hall who sang If. He was voted out the first week, but man what a voice he had.

They can chose another song, but it has to be cleared for them to perform it. No one seems to know the true list, so I have no idea if this last one is the real one or not.

RUMOR ALERT! Chris may be singing Wicked Game by Chris Issac

Taylor's song has a 5 word title. NOt sure what it is yet.

Hey I heard this on the AI board

quote:
Elliot Y. - "Unchained Melody" Righteous Brothers

Kellie P. - "Because You Loved Me" Celine Dion

Katherine M. - "I Will Always Love You" Dolly Parton/Whitney Houston

Taylor H. - "You Are So Beautiful" - Joe Cocker / Georgia On My Mind - Ray Charles (TAYLOR PRACTICED BOTH SONGS)*

Chris- "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" Aerosmith

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh, Chris singing an Aerosmith song! I put "Jaded" on my list of songs for him to sing, because I think that he would do a good job singing Steven Tyler's vocals. So, that would be a good one.

Though, Sherry said, "Wicked Game." I think that would be awesome, to hear such utter sexiness from him.

Oh well.... whatever that rock god chooses to bless us with, tomorrow night, is just fine by me.

I heard earlier that Taylor might do I Can't Stop Loving You by Ray Charles. I'd rather hear Georgia though.

Reply To this Message

Posted by: Lawless

But he already sang "Georgia." Aren't they discouraged from singing the same song more than once?

Reply To this Message

Posted by: fuscia

He never sang Georgia on AI. There is an MP3 of it.

Kim Locke did "somewhere over the rainbow" about three times on Idol.

Reply To this Message

Posted by: Lawless

Oh, okay.... that's why I thought he sang it. Because you had me listen to the mp3. DUH!!!

You're right. Completely forgot about Kimberly doing that.

Taylor- Baby I love your Way
Paris- Fallin

Goodness gracious... can they just tell us the line up, for sure?

Looks like Chris is now taking on Journey, eh? Oh boy... I sure hope that he does good.

Reply To this Message

Journey is really hard to do. I think it is better suited to Elliott, but I don't believe the source. I think "Wicked Games" would be a great song for Chris to do.

Reply To this Message

Posted by: Lawless

I just never know WHAT to believe.... because there are "Supposed" songs that they are going to sing... and then, it's something else. I don't know why they can't just release a list. It's not like we're hearing them before hand anyway.
