Who is making things worse?

Americans blame all different kinds of people, from conservatives to liberals to the media for all things right or long in relation to the War On Terror. Who do you think is to blame and why?

It's not so much a who but a "what" that is making things worse.

The desire for power, money, control and strategic and political influence are to blame and no particular person, people, government, political party, religion, nation, have a monopoly on these age old motivating factors. Everyone wants something and we all seem quite prepared to use violence and force to get it. We want access to oil and energy and the right to potentially massive money making markets anywhere and everywhere in the world. Al Qaeda want control and power in the Gulf region and want us and Western influence out. The two views of the world cannot be reconciled therefore we have conflict and violence.

We both fear something...

Ourselves. The truth.

Material and territorial greed is somewhat to blame.

The rest of the blame can be found in our DNA. For the most part, the ability to think and verbalize our thoughts, plan, organize, etc., is what has, without a doubt, lead to the evolution of the world's political and religious chaos.

We were much more peaceful when we were dumb apes, and didn't possess the most dangerous WMD: Intelligence.

The media is one of the worst in fueling anger - dosn't matter which media it is, or from what country whether it is america, japan, uk, or arab
most media shows only what they want people to see or what they think will sell the ratings.

So I take it you think the Media is making everything worse?

It's a fact.

How dare they show things for what they are. How dare they try to lift people's spritis in time of war. We should all be angry, afraid and blind to what's going on. Fear will keep them in line... pay no attention to the man behind the curtain... dead men tell no tales... mission accomplished!
