do you wait until the last minute to file your taxes?

Nope... I file mine as soon as I get my information from my work. I received my papers on Jan 28th this year, and filed on the 29th, and had my federal refund before Feb 10th, and my state refund about a week later.

We do ours as soon as we get the information and can get an appointment.

I still have not done mine. I guess I will do them tommorow. It said on the news, that we have till Monday at midnight, since today, the 15th is on a weekend.


I hate doing taxes and always wait till the final day.

I just edited in the option of extensions.

Darnit, forgot all about them, been putting up fence all day, doing yard work, then I saw this thread and remembered.


I HATE DOING TAXES.

I hate filing taxes but I never could understand why people push everything off to the last minute......

When I hate doing something, I get it done and over with.

I filed an extension, even though I am due back a bundle. Dammit. I usually always do that, except for last year. Did them online, got cash back quick as hell.

The taxes in my house are usually done by February.

Since moving to Taiwan, I've gotten someone in my company to do them for me. Now she's gone, and I'm screwed. The wife wants to file them as a couple this year, so we'll see.

The problem is, my company never withholds my tax, so I always end up paying a **** load of money back, come tax time... which, uh, is now, isn't it?
