My personal favorite is from LOTR. Gandalf on the bridge facing the balrog "you shall not pass!". It was awesome. You saw Gandalf so powerful and unafraid.

Wow, there are many different GREAT scenes... but, this one just popped into my mind, for some strange reason, so I'm going to put it in here.

From "Interview With A Vampire"

When Lestat (Tom Cruise) gives the "gift" to Louis (Brad Pitt) and he's seeing the world, for the first time, through his vampire eyes, and the statues faces move, and everything. It was just a beautiful scene... and when Louis opens his eyes, and they've changed color from being turned, it's so breathtaking.

Dumbo is my all-time favorite!

I always shed a tear of two (or more) during the scene where Dumbo's mother cradles him in her trunk and rocks him to sleep; then waves goodbye when he's forced to leave.

I cry then too. The song that plays "baby of mine" is one I sang to my own kids when they were babies. I cried the first time I sang it to them.

How about the scene in "A Few Good Men" near the end, when Jack Nicholson is up on the witness stand, and Tom Cruise is pounding him with questions... firing them, one after the other, trying to break him. And then, Jack does the whole...

"You want the truth? You want the truth? YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!"

That entire part is just amazing!!! Gotta love Jack!

1 I hate to go with a chick flick , but the funeral scene from Steel Magnolias is great stuff. Sally Field was awesome , as was the whole cast. The scene evolves from sad ,painful ,furious anger, to riotous laughter in a couple of minutes, and it is done in a totally believable manner.

2 The ''Wonderful World'' montage from Good Morning Vietnam. All the horrors of war played out on the screen while one of the most beautiful songs ever written plays as a soundtrack. Very powerful stuff

It's all about the end of Star Wars when Han comes out of nowhere and Luke blows up the Death Star. Money.

The final scene in "An Affair to Remember" with Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr, when he sees the wheelchair in her bedroom.

Or the Remake "Love Affair" Beatty and Bening.

A few good scenes in Blazing Saddles, including:

The Campfire scene

Townspeople welcoming the new Sheriff

Hilarious scenes!

Oh man, "the sheriff is near?" Comedy.

Or when that dude punches that horse. Excellent.

Scream 2, when that bloke got stabbed through the cubical wall in the bathroom. That was cool.

In Blazing Saddles, I like the scene near the start where the slaves are watching the white folk jumping around singing Camptown Races.

Mongo (played by former Detroit Lions star Alex Karras)

You mean Webster's dad?

Trip out.

I like the end of Die Hard when McClane has that gun taped to his back with only two bullets. Hans has hife wife and there is another dude with a machine gun. McClane yells for his wife to get down, smokes the other dude and shoots Hans. Then Hans falls out the window but he's tied to the wife at the wrist. Excellent.

Or at the end of Fight Club after 'Tyler' shoots himself in the neck and Marla comes up. The credit card buildings start to fall and he just goes, "you've met me at a very strange time in my life." Perfect.

When Lee Van Cleef is moving very very slowly towards his gun, he looks over at Clint Eastwood, then he very very slowly backs off.

Cause the look Clint Eastwood gave him, scared the crappola out of the man.

That's from the Good, the Bad and the Ugly.
