the silence when Mandisa was voted off

Numerous threads on AI are saying that the silence following Mandisa's being voted off was because three women in the audience yelled out the N word to her. People on the East Coast saw it live and heard it. It was supposedly edited for the West Coast. It would make sense. Everyone looked so shocked and appalled when her name was announced.

I just watched it on Fox. Seems like an edited silence, but it's hard to tell.

If it is true then it is really sad. It would not surprise me because AI brings out some strange people, but still.

That's REALLY sad, and wrong. She's a PERSON. I might not agree with her beliefs, but I don't look at her as a black person. She is a woman. It's really sad that we have people who are so hateful.

She handled it with so much grace though. I was impressed, to say the least.

Yes, I've noticed! It's because he's had two good weeks where he's sung country, and sounded decent.

I really doubt that happened. The media woudl jump all over that and it would be everywhere in the news.

I guess I would agree with Crazie - there's no way that wouldn't have made the news! But I thought it was shocking people picked Elliott over Mandisa. He is such a bland singer! I would've liked to see Mandisa stay much longer.
