What May Have Put Elliott in the Bottom Two |
| Posted by: Gwen4791 | | Elliott has an amazing voice. Bottom line. I know that. You know that. I don’t think, however, that he knows just how great he is. Excellent singers know that they are good. That’s why, a lot of the time, they get criticized for being arrogant and egotistical. But, without that confidence, they just wouldn’t come across as well. At some point and time, Elliott will have to stop just listening to how good people say that he is and really start believing it for himself. Then, he can apply that same self-assurance to whatever he’s singing, and he’ll be wonderful. I’ve noticed at certain times that he just looks so tense and uneasy when he’s performing. I’d love to know what goes through his head when he’s on stage. I’m going to love him regardless because I can appreciate such a special gift. But, his inability to connect with his audience may affect their voting. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: Lawless | | You're right, Gwen. Elliott doesn't come across, to me, as a person who has an ego. While he knows that he can sing (he wouldn't have auditioned, and made it this far without a good voice... and he knows that), I don't think that he realizes just how good of a voice that he does have. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: Gwen4791 | | I agree with you about Taylor and Elliott. Chris is good too - just needs to be a little more versatile. Saw a little bit of that on Tuesday. The guys this year are pretty phenomenal. I hope Elliott answers his wake-up call and steps it up next week. I would hate to see him go. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: Lawless | | Well, if we're talking looks... Ace was better to gaze upon. But, vocally... Elliott has a beautiful voice. Ace has his falsetto to pull out, now and again. Other than that... he isn't the greatest singer, and it was past time that he left.
I don't know that Elliott will go a lot farther, but he deserves it. | | Reply To this Message

Ace has a very nasal quality to his voice. Elliott has a large range with a very pure voice, plus Ace tends to go off key. I think Elliott is one of the best singers in the competition. Ace was not, but that is my opinion.
