HP and the OotP - movie release date

It's official: Warner Bros. has announced that the Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix movie will hit theaters on July 13, 2007!

OMG! I can't wait, I can't wait!!!
And if the seventh book IS released on 7/7/07, it will be one hell of a week, wouldn't you say?

That's a change... Normally the HP movies hit theatres in the winter, usually in Nov if I'm not mistaken... I wonder why they made the switch...

Maybe to have a big HP fest ... although they get more money if they do it to the opposite side of the year to the books ... maybe its an experiment to see what will happen it they switched

or maybe they just finished early

I think that they are trying to get the movies done sooner, because we have a group of main characters who are kids, and they are aging, and it won't look right having them be too old in those parts.

did they miss a year at one point with the films? if not there shouldnt really be a problem as they've been growing as there charater do

They have gone much longer than one year on releasing the movies.

The first movie was released in Nov 2001
The second movie was released in Nov 2002
The third movie was released in 2004
The fourth movie was released in Nov 2005
The fifth movie will be released in July 2007

The first two were back to back, within a year. Then, it was just about 1 1/2 years +/-

I figured it might be due to the aging of the main characters... The rush is on...
