Okay, so the previews show Jack going to confront the others... and Kate is with him. He's trying to get them to answer him, and make a trade. And we see "Henry" talking to, damn, I can't remember, saying that they won't do it, or something like that. Then, Jack is pulled up, in a trap (net). At least I think that was him.

Anyway.... we are ticking toward a major confrontation between both "parties"

When they did the previews, it said, next week.

I'm just happy... because I want more Lost, and we're getting it.

"S.O.S."
Rose is surprisingly and vehemently opposed to Bernard's plan to create an S.O.S. signal; romantic sparks are rekindled between Jack and Kate when they trek into the jungle to propose a "trade" with "The Others"; and Locke begins to question his faith in the island.

Oh, sorry Kris. I did the same thing to you a couple of weeks ago. I didn't even look. Just threw one up. I did a thread merge, so it's all cool now.

uh, that last 5 minutes of Lost, just something hit some raw nerve in me, and I started crying like a baby. Waterworks, the whole nine yards.

Like some emotional pregnant woman, I sat there bawling.

Whatever. When Rose saw Locke in the Flashback in the wheelchair, and the knowledge that the Island had healed her, and Locke, and the emotional connection between Rose and Bernard,

it should have played out like a cheap romance novel, but the combination of the acting, the music, the writing, whatever it was, I just lost it, and got all weepy weepy crying crying. I guess Locke losing his Faith, and that absolute SATAN smile on Henry in the hatch, and then at the end, Locke regaining his faith, plus all the healing stuff and the music and Hurley making shadow figures for Libby, it all hit home at once and I became a tear spouting feeb.

I thought this was a good episode. But I didn't feel like we got anything new out of it. Jack and Kate still have an undefined relationship, the dude in the hatch isn't saying anything, yeah we learned that Rose's cancer mysteriousely went away when she came to the island but that doesn't suprise anyone and it doesn't teach us anything new about the island, Locke questioned and regained his faith (again)...

Touching, yet relatively useless episode. Filler, if you will.

I hope Michael has a lot more to say than what he said in the previews.

Question:

Do you suppose that Michael's timing is a coinsodense, or do you think the island arranged it that way? If it weren't for Michael, Jack and Kate would have sat there til sunrise.

well, the "healer" guy in austrailia told rose that "there are places that can heal people... i don't know if it's the magnetism or what..." ! So atleast we sorta know why they COULD be getting healed. But why would they quarantine the place if it actually HEALS! That's what I don't get. I was unsatisfied with the episode - until michael came running out, i'm like THERE! THERE IS THE LOST I KNOW AND LOVE!

I knew it was Michael who would run through. It was weird. It's like we saw rustling leaves and I said, "And here comes Michael, weary and without Walt." And he did.

It was nice when Rose said that they both knew that it wouldn't take four weeks for Locke's leg to heal up. Made it seem more real with someone else knowing about it without being told.

I think that Henry is 'him.' He's definately an important Other, with how subtle and clever he is. Ethan Rom wasn't that clever, and I doubt Zeke is.

I will do a new poll on who is him, and close the other one, then add Henry as a possible selection.
