American Idol: Season 5 Forum

I'm going to be watching Lost tonight... so, I'm definately looking in here for the east coast sneak peek!

She lost a lot of support, for her views. And, she has just picked bad songs.

Personally, like I said, in my review, and other threads, she was the one that deserved to go home!

I was close on the bottom three... because I said Mandisa (to leave), with Paris in the bottom three.

I knew Taylor would be safe. SP is huge. Note to all that he was sucking on a lozenge for his throat.

I think so too. I hope Taylor's voice is back in form next week. Does anyone know how long it takes to get over strep?

Who else besides me thinks that Mandisa didn't deserve to leave? OMGosh! I feel so bad because I had homework that night and I thought I was going to get yelled at for watching TV and not doing my HW so I didn't watch, thus didn't vote for my favorite American Idol contestant of all time. OMGosh. I hope she gets back out there quickly!

What's worse? When they said Country night...Ace, Paris, and Mandesia came to my mind as the bottom 3 even before the show came around. That sucks by alot. The same happened with Jennifer Hudson. But look at her now, she's being featured on albums and in movies with Beyonce'.

Mandisa and Paris were in danger with this weeks theme. Honestly, I thought it might be Ace's time to go.

I told you my man Taylor looked ill last night. I would bet his song choice was due to his vocal range being limited. Poor Taylor.

NO NO NO!!! Mandiva aka Mandisa is gone. I liked her. Kelli is still my favorite. Ya all know that by now. Still I liked Mandisa. Paris that little butthead, no offense of course should have gone home. That little cretin, she even messed up lyrics and no one noticed, NOT FAIR!!! Okay I'm done now. Mandisa has a good voice I just think the last two weeks have been bad for her. She just didn't pick the perfect songs for her. It should not be because of her views and if anyone has a problem with her views then I will happily set them straight. This is a singing competition. Ace has a whiny squeeky voice but he gets by because of his stupid looks and he knows it. I noticed he doesn't try as hard. NOT FAIR NOT FAIR!!! Well at least it wasn't Chris or Kelli. Still URGH!!! I didn't think she would make it to the top four but I thought she would make it farther. I don't know what else to say. Except.....I don't think we have heard the last of her, when she is on she does have it. A good voice, awesome personality. Nope I don't think we have seen the last of her.

Mandisa will have a career. This is the begining of her journey. Paris is the one I want gone.

For me, and Mandisa's "Views" I know that it's a singing competition. But, I will NOT support someone who is anti my life. I wouldn't vote for her, or purchase anything she put out. I can't support her, anymore than she could support me. But, that doesn't take away from the fact that she does have a good voice... esp when it's doing the right songs. And, she did many of those.

I think that Ace and Paris will be the next to go... or Bucky. It just really depends on what next weeks theme is, and how well each person delivers themselves, and the song of their choosing.

PARIS HAS GOT TO GO!!! No offense to people who like her, I just don't like her 'tude and she messed up the lyrics to one of my favorite songs. HURUMPH!!! ACE HAS ALSO GOT TO GO!!! He thinks he is the hottest thing since....I don't know Johnny Depp or Orlando Bloom...you get my point. He also doesn't have that great of a voice.

She did mess up the lyrics. Which version do you like better of the song? I like Leann Rimes version.

I LOVE the Leann Rimes version much better. Tricia Yearwood has a great voice... but, Leann's voice is so beautiful... and the version is just one that I feel so much more.


CountryChick, there is a co-worker of mine who feels that Ace needs to go too. She said to me today that Ace is sooooooooooooo in the closet. She said that he carries that whole metrosexual thing waaaaaaaaaaay too far. Cracked me up. Anyway, he did do better this week... and there were people worse than him last night. I just don't see him last more than 2 or 3 weeks, at the most.

WOO! Taylor is on the radio-taped of course. He says they only get to rehearse their songs a couple of times.

I really couldn't tell you fuscia which version I like better. I listen to Trisha's more but I love Leeann Rimes' voice. I love her song "Dance" or something like that the name has slipped my mind.

Lawless....Your co-worker is so right. We just need to get rid of Ace and Paris and I will be happy. No offense to Elliot but I don't know if he will make it very far cuz of his look which is unfortunate cuz he's got a Great voice.


I will say it again and you will probably hear it a few more times: KELLIe ROCKS!!! (See I remembered the 'e') LMAO!!! Kellie and Chris will probably be the final two or Kellie and Taylor. I just love her. She has an awesome strong voice and she doesn't have her head up in the clouds. *cough Paris cough Ace cough*

I think the final three will be Taylor, Chris and Kellie.

Mandisa is gone? Well she has a big future ahead of her. I think she sang better than Paris or Katherine. It was the country music that did her in....or was it her image? Hmmm....

Well I still hope Taylor, Chris and Elliot make it to the top 3.

Kellie showed a strong voice in her auditions... and that's why I originally picked her, from that first night, to be the winner. But, little by little, she has gotten weaker... whether by song choice, or just plain horrible vocals. She has the capability to really belt it out... but, she's not doing that, and I don't know why.

The only person on AI who I feel has been consistant is Chris. Taylor is close... but this past week was really bad for him. But, he's got strep throat, and a bad song choice. Katharine is close too.

Of course I fit in right here. I mean seriously who can resist my obvious charming personality? Everybody loves me, who wouldn't?

I agree with you on the top three Fuscia. Still not sure if I like Taylor or not but there is a lot of people like him...like my SO mature mother.

I think it is going to be Taylor and Chris in the final with a very tight vote.

I wouldn't be surprised by that, at all.

Wait, it's songs of Queen?!

That means Chris is gonna be great. Taylor is gonna sound great. Bucky and Kellie are gonna stink (unless queen sings a country song I don't know about) Ace will be safe with his falsettos (lame). Should be interesting.

Jennifer Hudson is in the up coming movie "Dreamgirls" with Beyonce and Jamie Foxx. It's supposed to come out this December. She is, also, on the "Hair [Actor's Fund of America Benefit Recording]" CD singing "Easy To Be Hard." She sound pretty good if I do say so my self.

They said country week and I just knew Mandesia was going home. I feels so bad that I didn't watch. I would have voted for her inspite of her performance because I wanted her to make it to (at least) Broadway week. Hum...darn my homework!

Chris - I think he'll win because every year the winner of American Idol is diffrent from the previous winners. Chris is diffrent. Katharine is said to be like Kelly Clarkson. Besides, we haven't had a male winner in a while.
