Lost - Season Two Forum

The ABC Lost site has an "easter egg" Diary, that they post. It's from some as yet unknown mystery survivor.


It may or may not be an other infiltrator. But it's fun reading!


At first the Diary was in cursive, from a known lady, but then the new person who is writing now, in print, found it and started to use it as their own. I will not include the diary of the other lady who started it, there was nothing that interesting in them.

Wow. I don't know who it is. It isn't Kate I don't think. She was not on the beach when the tail section survivors came back. I don't think it's Rose, as when they came back, she did not mention Bernard.


I think they may still be an "OTHER", but it seems a stretch. I could be Hurley I guess, writing in some mental illness dillusion.


Though the "Brother" reference makes that seem bogus. Unless the term brother means something else that blood relation.


Fun to guess at it though, see whats up and all that.

The plot thickens.

Now it's just going to take time to figure out WHO'S doing the writing.

Also, that first entry is about someone who found this journal, on the beach. They mention "Her" as in it belonged to a woman. I remember that Claire was journaling in the first season, and I've yet to see her doing it in the second season. Could it have been hers, originally?

It had a name, I didn't recognize it. I can go and look and see if I can post a few of them.

It could be that Whidden is right, and that "brother" does not refer to an actual brother. Didn't Desmond call Jack brother?

Yes, he did... and it could be that it's just the way that certain people refer to others. You know, close friends, or a tight community of people.

I was saving them to post, then gave up, there are way way to many of them.


I saved the one with her name. It's no one I know. But it's possible it's a mentally ill person, and the same person is writing in the print, as was writing in the cursive.

Hmmmmmmmm... don't know who Janelle is.

When she is referring to some woman, and the black smoke, I wonder if she's talking about the French Woman.

Okay, the comment in the journal about hopefully no one will be foolish enough to try anything as dangerous as a raft.

It made me think that the person was against the entire idea of building a raft and trying to find help. The thing is... I remember Kate trying to get herself a seat on that raft. Don't know if that's much... but, it caught my eye, and attention, when I read it, and made me think of her.

Okay, so I'm watching Lost right now, and a thought just came to me, because we're seeing all the people from the crash, around the food. And it's showing a lot of the "extra's" who've got no real part in it.

Anyway.... I'm just wondering if the person keeping this diary is someone that we've yet to be introduced to. I mean, it could be someone that is in the group that is keeping a low profile, and doesn't have a main part, yet... but, at some point, might.

Just a thought.

It might be. Just some side character we don't know. If it really is the brother of Henry, then we will get to know them I bet.


Or it might be some crazy person, or Kate.



I was reading the whispers thread again yesterday, and it had a line about "brothers" in it I forgot about. So, tie that together with Desmond calling other people "brother", and it's still possible it's not a blood relative.


We should get a new diary update here soon. I will post it as soon as I see it.

they mentioned talking to Hurley, so it's not him.

yeah, it must be some random person we haven't met yet then... weird. Just b/c they killed ethan and goodwin doesn't mean there aren't MORE others amongst them... whoooooooooooooooooo!

Yeah, there are more "others" in the group. But, how many?

I still have this weird feeling that someone that is an other, was on the plane, when it took off in Australia. And that they KNEW that the plane would go down.

I just looked through them all again. I don't see any mention of Hurley. Am I'm just missing it?

In one of the journal entries he says he was let into the Hatch for the first time. Unless Desmond is actually an alien who is capable of taking any shape he wants, then it can't be Desmond.

I know that it can't be Desmond. I was trying to say, it's obvious that it's someone that is a part of the group of survivors. And since Desmond wasn't a part of the group... well, he wouldn't even be on the list, because he wouldn't be considered!!!!

Well my list doesn't just include the regular survivors, it includes everyone who hasn't been rules out in one way or the other.

so it COULD be Hurley...

I think the "i think i'm losing my mind" part makes it too OBVIOUS to be Hurley though. They never threw us a bone before, why start now?

But still... it could be.

Yeah, it would be a twist if the "surfer dude" speaking Hurley, was really into "intellectual" style writings.

Maybe his insane side is slightly smarter. (If it is him)

Anything is possible. I think that it will be someone that we don't suspect... but, who knows!!!

Okay, that's just a really confusing entry. Shirt on the branch? Jack? Hmm...

Is this person talking about Henry's shirt or something? Is Steve Henry's real name? Supposedly only a few people know about him right?

Well, I'm sure that they all know about it, by now, because they are probably gossiping, and spreading it around.

Well, if it's from the pearl... who in the group is writing it, since they are interacting with the group? It's someone that knows them, and who everyone knows.

Well, the last two entry's make it look like the person is crazy. I found it kind of a let down myself, as it's some cheap stab at a twist, but these diary's seem to have little to do with the show itself.


All this time thinking that henry is the brother of some castaway on the island, but no, it's just some insane person.


Oh well, I will keep posting these, but they have kind of burned me, so I don't put much stock in them anymore. I read on another forum this week that there was a rumor that the diary is not even part of the show itself, but some webmaster at ABC's attempt to do some side stuff.

I hope that's not true, but at the same time I do, cause the diary is just stupid at this point in time.

yeah, I'm sorry myself. Set us up for a Henry Gale is the brother in the hatch, then make it so it's a dead guy and the diary poster is insane, just stupid in my book.

How frakkin' confusing is that? Man, it better be a little side joke, or something. I was all pumped, thinking that they were really giving us some good stuff.
