[So, now we've said good-bye to Lisa Tucker. I know I've been pretty hard on her throughout this competition, but it was kind of sad to see her go. I mean, she auditioned to heaps of praise from the judges. What teenager wouldn't want to be told that they were the best 16-year-old in the history of the show? That would have done it for me right there. But, after semi-finals, she just couldn't seem to get it together. I'm sure she'll be missed, too. Anyone catch the tears from Paris? I believe they were genuine. As a matter of fact, she, Paris, and Kevin shared quite a bond. (They were classmates on the set.) Nevertheless, Lisa is just a teenager. Even as she matures and tries to find her niche in life, I think that she will also discover how to better use her instrument. One day, she'll pop up on our radios, and we can all reminesce and say, "I remember her when...."

Good luck, Lisa Tucker!

That is a lovely post Gwen.

I think that Lisa as talented as she is was not ready for Idol yet. She has the voice, but the stage experience will come with age. I do believe in a few years Lisa will be on the radio and doing very well.

She will do fine. She's young and now has plenty of opportunity to work on her craft and reach that next level.

Exactly... she just needs to mature a bit, and then, she will be back, in the lime light. Lisa has a great voice.... it just petered out on here recently, and I think that was due to nerves, or something.

I read that she had to pick the KC song at the last minute. They say that she could not get clearance for any of the song she wanted to sing. The one she sang was supposedly her 15th pick.

Well... lets just put it this way. They should be told, with at least five days, that they can sing certain songs. PERIOD! To just give it to her, at the last minute, is total I don't know if they did that or not. Regardless, she doesn't have the pipes to sing that song.

I'd think it would be smart to give everyone a list of songs that are already cleared. But, then, I guess that's why we hear so many songs repeated on the show, because no one wants to go through all that hassle.

The song clearance issue is a big one. That is the reason they have some of these theme nights. The Great American Standards night which is in two weeks is good because Rod Stewart did a bunch of albums of the music. Those songs are cleared.
