There is a lot of controversy on the AI site among the fans about Chris singing a Live version of Walk the Line and taking credit for it. (Don't kill me, that is what people are saying.) Vote and tell us what you think. I have not heard the Live version, so I have no opinion yet.

I still wonder if there was something cut out, when they aired last Tuesday nights show, and that he did acknowledge them.

Still... if people are going to be THAT upset, over something that they really don't own, it's more like a joke to me.

It is a combination of the Live/Walk the Line and RHCP/Higher Ground thing. Many of his fans are jumping ship because they think he should have given a nod to the bands and not allowed the judges to give me sole credit for it being his own version. *shrugs

Well, I've never been one to agree with wishy-washy fans.

Who cares if he allowed the judges to say it was his own version? I mean, here the guy is standing on stage and Simon makes a comment at the very end before Ryan started talking and people are wondering why he didnt interrupt and say something? I mean people are having a cow about this?

Give me a break.

If his so-called fans are "jumping ship" over this...then they arent really fans.

How many of these AI people are singing Mariah and Cher, etc through the years...are they giving credit at the time as well? No. They are just singing a song as written.

If Chris sang this song and it was one already written as this version...then who cares...if no one else does it, why do they expect him to do the same? Because Simon called it his own version? Did anyone else come on and say their song was a Barry Manilow version? No..they just sang it.

Heh...give me a break.

How about adding the line on this poll like "No..he wasnt given a chance to respond and if no one else has to give credit why should he?"

Chris doesn't belong on AI is my personal opinion on this. I"m not a "fan" of his but I believe he belongs in a rock band already. Not AI. As far as the Walk The Line thing goes. Really who cares? It sucked anyway. Now don't get me wrong he has a great voice and he did a good job on it I guess but the song itself in that way just sucks.

Obviously people had such a hissy fit over this that Ryan asked him if he sang that version and Chris had no problem saying yes.

I didnt hear anyone else have to get up and talk about how they sang a particular version of a song because Simon said something without giving the person a chance to really respond.

Hope all these nutsos are happy now that Ryan made it clear for them tonight.

Absolutely ridiculous!
