Did you like the State of the Union address?

Keep in mind:
Did he accurately depict "The State of the Union?"

Did it inspire you?

Did it piss you off?

Was it boring?

Was it significant?

Do you think his focuses in the State of the Union were appropriate?

I picked "didn't watch" because they are boring, and the cable news shows will talk it to death during this week.

Indifferent

I watched it.

And for once I didn't even get upset.
I laughed a couple of times.

In the middle of it, I got back on the computer and barely listened in.

I am at the point that what he and other politicians say really means nothing to me.
And I mean absolutely nothing.

It's like watching those fire eaters....and then just a bunch of smelly smoke.

It's just another self-loving buzzword attack only muted by scripted applause breaks. No message begets no confidence. Right wingers will bang their drum after their once and future king tickled them with word sprinkles like 'defeatism' and 'attackers'. But the reality is he took a few hours to say jack ****.

You won't listen, but you always have a comment about them. Go figure.

Are you referring to me? I watched and listened to the whole thing. What's there to figure? Ask instead of infer.

Actually, you know there is this cool drinking game for Dubya's speeches. Every time he makes up a word take a drink. Every time he says it 'nuk-leear' take a drink. Every third time he says fear, hate, terror take a drink. Every time he says 'suicider' take two drinks. Every time he refers to his daddy, take two drinks. Every akward pause, a half drink.

Suffice to say, we were toasted last night.

Heck, don't you love how someone can come into this thread and shoot their mouth off about your opinion, and yet not even give theirs?

Perhaps the opinion was predictable and goes without saying, huh?

Yeah I watched it... for about 3.5 seconds. When I watch it I tend to laugh too much, say 'OH WHATEVER' like 29 times, shake my head about 43 times, roll my eyes about 57 times and just get angry when everyone claps and stands up like he wrote, believes or means anything that comes out of his mouth. And I'm still waiting to hear daddy say "pay no attention to that man behind the curtain..."

Don't you love how people make fun of others? Did you ever make fun of a black person who can't pronounce the word "ask"? I bet you have.

Wow, usa, pulling the race card.
Never made fun of a black person saying "aks", but I did make fun of a white girl I grew up with, Mary Ann, who said "aks" and then I grew out of such a thing.

But then again, Mary Ann isn't the president of the United States, the "leader" of the "free" world.

I didn't watch it, I can't stand watching this president especially since he and his cronies piss on the graves of so many soldiers. I'll stick with the, if you've got nothing nice to say, don't say it.

Speaking of race cards, it seems the people that talk about race the most aren't the people accused of throwing the "card" all the time.

Well, we can have nice debate without getting personal, let's keep it civil.

But I do appreciate any post with an opinion, true.
